This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Representative, IRE based in India.
This is a fully remote business development role supporting a growing team focused on the home inspection software market. You will be one of the first points of contact for prospective customers and play a key role in turning interest into qualified sales opportunities. The position combines inbound lead qualification with targeted outbound outreach and proactive follow-up. You will use discovery and consultative communication to understand customer needs and identify the most appropriate software solution. Success in the role depends on responsiveness, strong customer conversations, accurate CRM management, and consistent achievement of sales activity and conversion goals. You will work closely with Account Executives while developing strong knowledge of multiple software products and customer use cases. The role operates remotely with full alignment to U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
Accountabilities
- Respond to and qualify inbound leads through phone, live chat, email, and SMS.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospects' businesses, current solutions, needs, interests, and purchasing considerations.
- Develop strong knowledge of the available home inspection software platforms and broader product offerings to identify suitable solutions.
- Convert qualified prospects into Account Executive opportunities through live transfers, booked demonstrations, or scheduled sales calls.
- Conduct targeted outbound outreach and follow up with previously engaged prospects and high-quality re-engagement lists.
- Build rapport with prospective customers and establish clear, appropriate next steps based on their needs and level of interest.
- Maintain accurate prospect activity, qualification information, notes, and follow-up actions in Salesforce or the applicable CRM.
- Consistently work toward individual and team objectives related to lead response time, conversion, qualified opportunities, and outbound activity.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and other sales stakeholders to ensure qualified opportunities are transferred effectively.
- Adapt sales approaches and follow-up strategies based on customer responses, team guidance, and changing business priorities.
- 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales development, inside sales, or another customer-facing role.
- Previous experience selling to or supporting small and medium-sized businesses is preferred.
- Native-level spoken and written English, with the ability to confidently manage fast-paced and unscripted customer conversations.
- Strong listening and discovery skills, with the ability to quickly establish rapport and understand customer needs.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of balancing real-time inbound conversations with proactive follow-up activities.
- Comfortable learning multiple software products and translating product capabilities into relevant customer solutions.
- Goal-oriented mindset and motivation to work against measurable sales and conversion targets.
- Coachable and adaptable, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform is preferred.
- Previous experience working with U.S.-based business teams is preferred.
- Ability to work full-time with ongoing overlap with U.S. Eastern Time business hours, corresponding approximately to 7:30 PM–3:30 AM IST.
- Reliable home working environment with a quiet workspace and internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload.
- Annual salary range of INR 600,000–840,000, depending on experience, skills, knowledge, market alignment, and location.
