This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cash Staff Accountant based in United States.
This role supports high-volume cash operations across multiple entities, revenue streams, bank accounts, and financial systems. You will play a key part in ensuring cash activity is accurately recorded, reconciled, and reported in a timely manner. Working closely with Treasury, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Revenue Accounting, you will help resolve discrepancies and strengthen financial processes. The position combines daily transaction management with month-end close responsibilities, reconciliation, reporting, and internal controls. You will work with large datasets and multiple payment channels in a fast-paced, transaction-heavy environment. The role also offers opportunities to improve automation, streamline workflows, and build scalable processes as transaction volumes grow. This is a detail-oriented accounting position with meaningful visibility across finance operations and a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Accountabilities:
- Perform daily cash postings across multiple bank accounts, entities, revenue streams, and financial systems.
- Monitor cash balances and identify discrepancies, unusual transactions, timing differences, and other issues requiring investigation.
- Support daily cash position reporting and provide liquidity-related insights to Treasury stakeholders.
- Perform high-volume daily and monthly bank reconciliations across more than 40 accounts.
- Investigate and resolve bank-account discrepancies, outstanding items, variances, and bank adjustments.
- Prepare and maintain cash-related journal entries for bank fees, interest, credit card activity, cash adjustments, and other relevant transactions.
- Support month-end close activities by analyzing variances and explaining cash movements and timing differences.
- Ensure cash transactions are recorded accurately in accordance with GAAP and applicable internal policies.
- Manage large transaction datasets across ERP systems, billing platforms, payment processors, and other financial systems.
- Maintain the completeness and integrity of cash postings and monitor cash clearing accounts in a high-throughput environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, scalability, and accuracy of cash management processes.
- Support the implementation of new tools, workflows, automation, and system integrations designed to handle growing transaction volumes.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and audit trails for cash-related activities and support internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with Treasury, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Revenue Accounting to resolve receipt and disbursement discrepancies and ensure proper allocation and classification.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners, including banks and payment providers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in cash accounting or Accounts Receivable within a high-volume, multi-entity environment.
- Experience managing large transaction datasets and multiple payment channels.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, with NetSuite experience preferred.
- Experience working with payment processors for cash receipts and Accounts Payable systems, with Coupa experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain performance in a fast-paced, transaction-heavy environment.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify practical solutions.
- Experience with automation tools, workflow optimization, or system integrations is a plus.
- Ability to think creatively and identify opportunities to improve processes, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with finance teams and external partners while maintaining appropriate controls and documentation.
- Ability to work in the United States without employment sponsorship; this position is not eligible for employment sponsorship.
- Estimated total cash compensation of $72,000–$85,000 USD.
