The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Developer Community Lead based in United States .

This is a six-month contract role focused on building and strengthening an engaged developer community around innovative technology. You will shape community initiatives that connect developers, encourage knowledge sharing, and create meaningful opportunities for participation. The role combines community strategy, developer relations, technical content, and hands-on engagement across digital channels. You will work in a remote environment with significant ownership over creative programs and community experiences. Success will require a strong understanding of developer audiences and the ability to turn technical ideas into compelling, accessible content. This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on developer engagement and community growth within a fast-moving technology environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute creative community initiatives designed to attract, engage, and retain developers while fostering meaningful participation and knowledge sharing.
  • Build relationships with developers and community members, understanding their needs, interests, challenges, and motivations to create relevant and valuable experiences.
  • Plan and manage community programs, activities, discussions, events, and other engagement initiatives that strengthen developer participation.
  • Create and curate technical content that supports community education and engagement, including blog posts, videos, documentation, demonstrations, tutorials, and other developer-focused resources.
  • Collaborate with Developer Relations and other internal stakeholders to align community activities with broader developer engagement and product objectives.
  • Experiment with new community formats, channels, and engagement approaches, using feedback and participation data to improve initiatives over time.
  • Act as a trusted connection between the developer community and internal teams, bringing community feedback and insights into ongoing initiatives.
  • Maintain an active presence across relevant developer channels and help cultivate an inclusive, welcoming environment where developers can connect and contribute.
  • Demonstrated experience working in developer relations, developer communities, community management, technical advocacy, or a closely related field.
  • Strong understanding of developer audiences and the ability to build authentic relationships with technical communities.
  • Experience creating technical content, with examples such as blog posts, videos, documentation, demos, tutorials, or other developer-focused materials.
  • Proven ability to design and execute creative community initiatives that generate meaningful engagement and participation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and make complex subjects accessible to different audiences.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, taking ownership of initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Creative, proactive, and adaptable approach to community building, with a willingness to experiment and learn from results.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple community initiatives and priorities.
  • A genuine interest in technology, developer ecosystems, and creating valuable experiences for technical audiences.
  • Applicants should be prepared to share examples of technical content they have created and describe a creative community initiative they are particularly proud of.
  • Six-month contract opportunity in a developer relations-focused role.
  • Fully remote work environment.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of creative developer community initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience shaping developer engagement programs and technical community experiences.
  • Opportunity to create impactful technical content across formats such as articles, videos, documentation, and demos.
  • Collaborative environment focused on developer relations and community building.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
