The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Product Marketing based in United States.

This is a strategic player-coach role responsible for shaping how a cloud-native technology platform is positioned, packaged, and brought to market. You will lead a high-impact product marketing team while personally owning critical programs across competitive intelligence, pricing, packaging, and analyst relations. The role sits at the intersection of Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing, translating complex technical capabilities into compelling customer value. You will establish messaging frameworks, guide launches, strengthen sales enablement, and help influence product and roadmap decisions through market insight. You will also use customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and pricing research to sharpen differentiation and support sustainable growth. The ideal leader combines strong strategic thinking with hands-on execution and can confidently engage executives, technical teams, customers, analysts, and frontline sellers. This opportunity offers significant ownership in a fully distributed environment where product marketing directly influences adoption, pipeline, and market impact.

Accountabilities:

  • Own the product and company messaging architecture, including narrative hierarchy, personas, proof points, and consistent positioning across web, content, demand generation, and sales channels.
  • Translate technical product capabilities, customer needs, and market insights into differentiated, customer-ready stories and messaging.
  • Partner with Content Marketing to shape content strategy and accelerate the buyer journey.
  • Maintain and evolve buyer personas for core ideal customer profiles.
  • Own the product launch framework from tiering and cross-functional kickoff through readiness, enablement, and supporting assets.
  • Partner with Product Management on roadmap input, customer and market validation, and launch readiness.
  • Lead the competitive intelligence program, including battlecards, win/loss analysis, competitor tracking, field alerts, and competitive enablement.
  • Own pricing and packaging strategy, including SKU structures, tiering, and monetization decisions for new products and integrations.
  • Conduct pricing research and competitive benchmarking and facilitate packaging decisions in partnership with Product, Finance, and Sales leadership.
  • Develop sales and customer success enablement materials such as talk tracks, objection handling, demo scripts, one-pagers, and certifications.
  • Support technology alliance and OEM partnership marketing, including joint positioning with integration partners.
  • Curate customer proof points, including customer stories, logos, and evidence for web, sales, and marketing campaigns.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the product marketing team while establishing team strategy, priorities, and operating processes.
  • Represent the organization at occasional industry events and travel as needed.
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, including at least 2 years managing product marketing professionals.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, ideally within security, IT operations, endpoint management, or another technically complex technology environment.
  • Proven track record of owning product launches that contribute to pipeline growth and product adoption.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to demonstrate products, collaborate effectively with product managers and engineers, and translate technical features into differentiated customer messaging.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, with credibility across executive audiences, sales organizations, customers, analysts, and technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience developing and managing competitive intelligence programs and turning market insights into tangible sales outcomes.
  • Direct experience with pricing and packaging strategy, including SKU structures and monetization decisions for new products or capabilities.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, combined with the ability to remain hands-on and execute high-impact programs.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence decisions across Product, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Marketing.
  • Ability to thrive in a fully distributed, autonomous, and collaborative work environment.
  • Must be able to pass federal, state, and county background checks and complete a local in-person verification.
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • The role is not currently available to candidates located in California or the New York metropolitan area.
  • Base salary of $170,000–$190,000 USD.
  • Additional compensation may include a bonus and equity, with total compensation varying based on experience, skills, industry knowledge, and location.
  • Competitive salary and equity for full-time employees.
  • 401(k) matching.
  • Flexible paid time off and a generous sick time policy.
  • Comprehensive health plans with generous employer contributions.
  • 100% company-paid short-term and long-term disability and life insurance.
  • Company HSA contribution of $100–$200 per month depending on coverage tier.
  • $25 per month lifestyle spending account.
  • $50 per month internet reimbursement.
  • $500 home office stipend.
  • $10,000 adoption benefit.
  • Comprehensive family planning coverage through the medical plan.
  • Fully distributed, remote work environment.
  • Inclusive and equal-opportunity workplace.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
