The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Sales, Americas based in United States.

This is a senior sales leadership role responsible for driving regional revenue growth and expanding the customer base across the Americas. You’ll develop and execute strategic sales plans while guiding the regional sales organisation toward ambitious commercial targets. The role combines sales leadership, complex business development, account strategy, pricing, forecasting, and customer relationship management. You’ll work closely with customers, internal teams, and external partners to identify opportunities and build profitable, long-term relationships. A key focus will be supporting complex sales cycles, negotiating commercial agreements, and positioning products effectively within competitive markets. You’ll also contribute to pricing strategy, new product introductions, market analysis, and improvements to sales processes and profitability. The position offers the opportunity to influence regional commercial strategy while working across functions and engaging directly with key decision-makers.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with regional and business-unit objectives, identifying opportunities for profitable market penetration and customer growth.
  • Analyse market potential, products, pricing, competition, logistics, and sales channels to inform regional commercial strategies.
  • Lead sales forecasting and budgeting activities, establish targets, and recommend or approve relevant expenditures.
  • Provide direction to the sales team on account strategies, territory planning, pipeline development, and administrative priorities.
  • Support the expansion of existing accounts while maintaining strong levels of customer satisfaction and long-term relationship quality.
  • Act as a quoting and pricing authority for OEM and distributor accounts within established commercial policies.
  • Manage sales administration for assigned accounts and ensure product pricing remains aligned with relevant market conditions.
  • Work with sales, product, engineering, and other internal teams to review customer specifications and documentation and develop cost estimates or production projections.
  • Build relationships with purchasing, engineering, management, and other technical and commercial decision-makers to communicate product value and drive profitable growth.
  • Support the successful introduction of new products and recommend improvements to sales and marketing processes.
  • Analyse regional pricing, competitor activity, discount policies, and market dynamics to identify opportunities to improve profitability and market penetration.
  • Administer existing commercial contracts and agreements and negotiate new contractual arrangements when required.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure customer orders are delivered accurately, on time, and through appropriate routing.
  • Maintain an effective flow of information between the business and customers.
  • Represent the organisation at trade shows, industry meetings, and relevant customer events.
  • Deliver sales presentations, support key-account negotiations, maintain customer relationships, and help close complex opportunities.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, performance data, forecasts, and other commercial analyses as required.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitor activities to identify market developments and potential commercial opportunities.
  • Identify practical opportunities to use AI tools to improve sales productivity, decision-making, work quality, and cost efficiency while critically evaluating AI-generated outputs.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) from a four-year university, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of direct sales leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas and commercial targets.
  • Proven experience prospecting, developing, orchestrating, and closing complex sales cycles.
  • Strong working knowledge of sales and marketing principles, including account development, pricing, forecasting, territory planning, and competitive analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, sales teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and commercial decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to understand new products, technologies, and business concepts quickly and translate them into compelling customer value propositions.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to use market, customer, competitor, and sales data to inform decisions.
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to use AI tools effectively, identify appropriate AI use cases, and critically assess AI-generated information before applying it to business decisions.
  • Ability to operate collaboratively across functions while maintaining strong ownership of regional sales outcomes.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Full-time remote position based in the United States.
  • Opportunity to lead sales activities across the Americas and directly influence regional revenue growth.
  • Senior-level ownership of strategic sales planning, customer development, pricing, and commercial execution.
  • Opportunity to work directly with key customers and senior decision-makers across complex sales cycles.
  • Cross-functional exposure to sales, product, marketing, engineering, operations, and other business teams.
  • Opportunity to contribute to market expansion, new product introductions, pricing strategy, and sales-process development.
  • International exposure through customer relationships, industry events, and business travel.
  • Opportunity to leverage modern AI tools to improve commercial productivity and decision-making.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
