The position combines operational coordination, investigative support, analytical work, and stakeholder engagement. You will also contribute to identifying risks, improving processes, and strengthening governance practices. This is a U.S.-based remote opportunity with twice-yearly travel requirements and a strong focus on collaboration, discretion, and organizational impact.

Accountabilities:

  • Support the execution and ongoing development of enterprise compliance and risk management programs, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Manage policy administration, regulatory deadline tracking, compliance requests, and other operational activities supporting enterprise risk and compliance functions.
  • Prepare and coordinate cases related to fraud, whistleblower programs, investigations, and other sensitive compliance matters.
  • Serve as a key liaison for internal legal and compliance inquiries, coordinating with departments, organizational leadership, and external advisors.
  • Support case management, due diligence activities, investigations, and related documentation while maintaining appropriate confidentiality and discretion.
  • Manage request intake, email reviews, data entry, task tracking, and portfolio administration across the compliance and legal functions.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, briefings, and summaries for leadership and other internal or external stakeholders.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative information to identify meaningful themes, deficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Help strengthen governance practices and reduce organizational risk by identifying issues and contributing practical solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance administrative responsibilities with substantive compliance and risk management priorities.
  • Maintain accurate, organized records and ensure assigned work is completed within established deadlines and quality standards.
  • Must live in the United States and be willing to travel for twice-yearly organizational retreats.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Risk Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4–6 years of progressively responsible experience in compliance, risk management, legal operations, or a related field.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of investigations, compliance practices, risk management, and administrative procedures.
  • Solid business and legal acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive matters under tight deadlines.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, including request intake, email management, data entry, task tracking, and portfolio management.
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize competing responsibilities, and work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex issues clearly and concisely for diverse audiences.
  • Experience with case management, due diligence, investigations, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ability to develop clear reports, presentations, and leadership briefings, including the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail, combined with strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High degree of discretion, professional judgment, and commitment to confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data objectively and identify meaningful trends or themes.
  • Compliance or risk management certifications such as CCEP, CFE, CRM, or RIMS-CRMP are preferred.
  • Experience supporting Legal functions in nonprofit, technology, or higher education environments is preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced legal or compliance environment is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative mindset, and willingness to work across the organization to advance shared objectives.
  • Passion for higher education is a plus.
  • Salary range of $92,240–$103,770.
  • Virtual-first work environment.
  • Paid time off, seven company-wide holidays, nine floating holidays, and sick leave.

  • Optional external monitor, keyboard, mouse, and/or headset.
  • One-time home office setup stipend.
  • Monthly remote work and mobile stipends.
  • Performance-based bonus.
  • 403(b) retirement plan with a 5% company contribution and an additional 5% company match, subject to a three-year vesting schedule.
  • Choice of two health insurance plans, with HSA options depending on plan selection.
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance, with coverage beginning on the date of hire.
  • Medical and dependent care flexible spending accounts.
  • Virtual clinic supporting women’s and family health.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
