The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Finance Systems Lead based in Spain.

As Finance Systems Lead, you will own and evolve the technology infrastructure powering financial operations across a rapidly scaling, international AI business. You will oversee the finance systems ecosystem, including NetSuite, Stripe, Ramp, Deel, HiBob, and Pigment, ensuring reliable integrations, robust controls, and efficient workflows. Your mission is to transform month-end close into an exception-driven process where automation handles routine tasks and finance teams focus on meaningful analysis. You will lead system architecture, implementations, entity setup, and integration development while collaborating with Finance, Data, and Automation teams. You will also help prepare financial systems for public-company requirements and support new pricing models and international expansion. This remote-first opportunity is ideal for a hands-on systems builder who combines technical expertise, financial process knowledge, and an AI-first mindset.

Accountabilities:

  • NetSuite administration and governance Manage NetSuite end to end, including multi-subsidiary configuration, chart of accounts, segments, scripting, workflows, and release management. Maintain user roles, permissions, and segregation of duties to support strong financial controls and future public-company requirements. Optimize ERP configurations and processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Systems integrations and data reliability Own integrations between Stripe, Ramp, Deel, HiBob, and NetSuite, as well as data flows from NetSuite into the analytics warehouse. Build and maintain integrations using integration platforms as a service (iPaaS) or custom code. Design automated reconciliation processes and alerts that identify data inconsistencies and integration failures. Collaborate with Data teams to ensure reliable financial data flows into the warehouse and reporting environment. Reduce manual month-end reconciliation work by embedding accuracy and control into system design. System implementation and expansion Lead the selection, implementation, and rollout of new finance systems, including usage-based billing and equity administration solutions. Manage the finance systems setup for every new legal entity, ensuring consistent configurations and processes. Evaluate new tools and system capabilities based on evolving business needs and scalability requirements. AI-driven automation Partner with Automation and Data teams to develop AI-powered agents and workflows for finance operations. Automate activities such as invoice coding, people-cost reconciliations, and accounting requests. Identify repetitive manual processes and replace them with reliable, scalable automated solutions. Continuously improve finance workflows through experimentation with emerging AI tools and technologies. Strategic finance systems support Provide systems expertise for decisions involving new pricing models, entry into new geographies, and audit readiness. Work closely with accountants, engineers, and auditors to align systems capabilities with accounting requirements and control standards. Support the development of a scalable finance systems and automation function as the organization grows. Requirements: The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance technology professional with extensive NetSuite expertise, experience implementing and integrating financial systems, and a strong understanding of accounting processes and controls. You should be comfortable building technical solutions yourself, collaborating across finance and engineering teams, and using AI to automate workflows rather than simply adding manual capacity. Proven hands-on experience administering a multi-entity NetSuite OneWorld environment. Strong NetSuite technical skills, including SuiteScript, SuiteQL, saved searches, role management, and release management. Experience owning an ERP or billing system implementation or migration from planning through deployment. Understanding of how Stripe data flows into an ERP and supports revenue recognition processes. Experience designing, building, and maintaining integrations through iPaaS platforms or custom code. Strong SQL skills and the ability to troubleshoot data flows, build reconciliations, and configure automated alerts. Solid understanding of Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, including associated financial controls. Ability to collaborate effectively with accountants, software engineers, data specialists, and auditors. An AI-first approach to work, with regular use of tools such as Claude Code or Cursor and a strong preference for automating repetitive workflows. Strong problem-solving skills, technical ownership, and the ability to operate in a fast-moving, evolving environment. Nice to have: Experience with Ramp, Pigment, Metronome, or other usage-based billing platforms. Familiarity with Deel and HiBob integrations. Experience with n8n, dbt, or BigQuery. Knowledge of SOX requirements or IT General Controls (ITGC) in a pre-IPO or publicly listed company. Experience building or leading finance systems and automation teams. Benefits: Remote-first flexibility: Work remotely from anywhere in Europe, with availability during Central European Time (CET) required. Professional development: Access an annual discretionary stipend to support learning and skills development. Co-working support: Receive a monthly co-working stipend if you are not located near a main office. Team connection: Benefit from an annual discretionary stipend to meet colleagues and strengthen professional relationships. Company-wide offsite: Participate in an annual team gathering at a different location. Career growth: Opportunity to build and eventually lead a Finance Systems and Automation team as the organization scales. Innovative environment: Work with cutting-edge AI technologies and help shape how financial operations are automated. Meaningful ownership: Take responsibility for core systems, integrations, controls, and automation initiatives with a direct impact on business performance. Collaborative culture: Partner with talented professionals across Finance, Data, Automation, and Engineering in a global, AI-first organization. Inclusive workplace: Join an equal opportunity employer committed to providing fair employment opportunities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
