This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Financial Management (FM) Palantir Data Analyst (Analyst and Manager Levels), Department of War (DoW), Secret Clearance based in the United States.

This is a remote opportunity supporting anticipated federal financial management transformation initiatives within the Department of War. You will leverage Palantir Foundry and the Vantage platform to modernize financial data, reporting, and decision-making capabilities. The role combines data engineering, financial management, analytics, and mission-focused technology delivery in a secure environment. You will work with complex federal financial data, developing pipelines, applications, and analytical solutions that improve transparency and operational effectiveness. At the Manager level, you will additionally lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor professionals, and influence senior stakeholders. The opportunity is suited to experienced professionals who enjoy solving complex data challenges and translating technical solutions into meaningful business outcomes. Multiple positions may become available as surge projects are approved and funded, with full-time or part-time arrangements possible.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and enhance modern financial management solutions within the Vantage platform using Palantir Foundry.
  • Build and support Foundry-based data solutions, including pipelines, transforms, datasets, data lineage, and related data-processing workflows.
  • Develop and enhance Palantir Workshop applications that enable financial analysis, reporting, transparency, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop data-processing solutions using Python, SQL, PySpark, and Spark.
  • Work with relational and analytical data platforms such as Databricks, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server, applying sound data modeling principles.
  • Support or integrate solutions with DoD Advana/Vantage and other enterprise analytics platforms as project requirements evolve.
  • Work with federal financial data covering budgeting, execution, accounting, and related financial management processes.
  • Apply appropriate data controls, validation processes, and reconciliation practices to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
  • Troubleshoot complex data and application issues and communicate technical findings and solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to data governance, metadata management, lineage, access controls, and secure data practices where required.
  • Operate independently in a fast-paced, mission-focused consulting environment while collaborating effectively with client and project teams.
  • Manager-level: Supervise and mentor project team members, lead multidisciplinary teams, establish accountability, and support professional development.
  • Manager-level: Engage senior stakeholders, influence decisions, and help drive delivery across complex financial transformation initiatives.
  • Travel up to 20% based on client and project needs.
  • Active and maintained Secret Federal or Department of War security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, with at least 2+ years of relevant experience for Analyst-level positions.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience for Manager-level positions, including demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, including data pipelines, transforms, datasets, and data lineage.
  • Experience with Palantir Workshop and a strong understanding of the broader Palantir ecosystem.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark, and Spark-based data processing.
  • Experience working with relational and analytical data stores such as Databricks, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, controls, reconciliation, and governance principles.
  • Experience working with federal financial data, including budget, execution, and accounting information.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and translate technical concepts effectively for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% based on client needs.
  • Preferred: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Preferred: Direct experience supporting Department of War financial, PPBE, comptroller/CFO, or audit-related programs.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with federal financial systems such as GFEBS, Navy ERP, DAI, or DEAMS.
  • Preferred: Understanding of federal financial management and accounting concepts, including the Treasury Financial Manual, OMB Circular A-123, SFFAS, and USSGL.
  • Preferred: Experience with Advana/Vantage or adjacent DoD enterprise analytics platforms.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Git-based version control, CI/CD concepts, and Agile delivery in secure environments.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, lineage, and access controls in classified or controlled environments.
  • Preferred: Understanding of DoW security and compliance frameworks, including RMF and ATO processes.
  • Preferred: Prior federal or defense consulting experience.
  • Preferred: Palantir, AWS, Azure, or Databricks certifications.
  • Manager-level: Proven ability to supervise and mentor team members, lead multidisciplinary teams, influence senior stakeholders, and foster collaboration and professional growth.
