The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Full Stack Developer (DISA) based in United States.

As a Full Stack Developer, you will support the engineering, modernization, and sustainment of mission-critical systems within a secure Department of Defense environment. You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from application design and development through integration, testing, deployment, and operational support. The role combines hands-on development with system integration, troubleshooting, cybersecurity, and cloud-based delivery. You will work with Java, JavaScript, SQL, web services, middleware, databases, and modern CI/CD practices to build reliable and secure solutions. Working in Agile teams, you will collaborate with product owners, technical experts, testers, security personnel, and government stakeholders. You will also provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, investigate complex issues, and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced full-stack engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while contributing to high-impact government technology programs.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, test, maintain, and troubleshoot application components using Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and relational databases.
  • Develop and maintain secure REST and SOAP web services and integrations with external DoD and federal systems.
  • Build and support system integrations, data flows, and ETL layers while maintaining data accuracy, reliability, and system performance.
  • Implement software in accordance with applicable DoD cybersecurity, testing, configuration, and development standards.
  • Support deployments and release activities in cloud-hosted environments, including AWS GovCloud and comparable platforms.
  • Work within Agile/Scrum sprint cycles, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, demonstrations, estimation, and user story updates.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and subject matter experts to refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical solutions.
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for incidents, defects, and user-reported issues.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and resolve performance or functionality issues.
  • Monitor application environments and help maintain system reliability and operational performance.
  • Create and maintain technical specifications, interface and integration documentation, test scripts, execution results, release notes, and version control records.
  • Support Change Advisory Boards and Configuration Control Boards as required.
  • Follow program-specific, DISA, and DoD development standards and processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with government stakeholders, engineering teams, functional SMEs, testers, and security personnel.
  • Identify technical risks, support mitigation planning, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate technical issues, solutions, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • 5+ years of full-stack software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Java/JDK, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and relational databases.
  • Experience developing and integrating REST and SOAP web services.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
  • Experience with middleware technologies such as WebLogic, Apache, and Tomcat.
  • Experience with data integration and ETL layers.
  • Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or comparable government cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
  • Experience applying defensive coding and secure software development practices.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a structured government environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple development and operational priorities while maintaining high standards for security, quality, and reliability.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • An active U.S. Secret security clearance is required.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and disability coverage.
  • 401(k) program with 100% vesting from day one and an employer match after 90 days.
  • Educational assistance program.
  • Student loan repayment program.
  • Gym reimbursement program.
  • Paid time off.
  • Opportunity to work with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of technology and consulting professionals.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
