This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) based in Canada.
This role is a strategic HR partnership position supporting business leaders and designated stakeholder groups within a fast-paced, global technology environment. You will translate business priorities into practical people strategies that strengthen organizational effectiveness, talent, and engagement. As a trusted advisor, you will guide leaders through workforce planning, organizational design, change management, and complex employee matters. The role combines strategic consulting with hands-on execution across core HR programs and processes. You will use people data, analytics, and emerging AI tools to identify opportunities and improve HR efficiency. Working across distributed teams and multiple time zones, you will collaborate closely with HR specialists and operations teams to deliver scalable solutions. Accountabilities
- Partner with business leaders to align people strategies with organizational priorities, workforce plans, and evolving business needs.
- Act as a trusted advisor on workforce planning, organizational design, change management, talent, performance, and employee-related matters.
- Lead and support core HR programs, including performance management, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, talent development, and career initiatives.
- Analyze engagement trends, retention risks, compensation information, and other people metrics to assess organizational health and inform decisions.
- Design and implement scalable HR frameworks, processes, and best practices that support business growth and new initiatives.
- Coach leaders on building engaged, high-performing teams and effectively managing employee performance and career development.
- Drive global HR initiatives with strong program management, execution discipline, and attention to deadlines.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and HR Operations to provide integrated, consistent, and effective people solutions.
- Address employee relations and compliance matters with sound judgment, urgency, discretion, and a people-first approach.
- Leverage Generative AI and other modern tools to streamline routine HR activities and create more capacity for strategic advisory work.
- Protect sensitive employee and organizational information through the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Bachelor’s degree, with specialized education or training in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- 9+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience, preferably within fast-paced, global technology organizations.
- 5+ years of experience developing and scaling HR models, frameworks, processes, and best practices.
- 5+ years advising senior leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
- 5+ years using HR data and analytics to interpret people metrics, compensation information, retention trends, and organizational health.
- 5+ years of experience attracting, assessing, developing, and retaining high-performing talent, including exposure to career leveling and performance management frameworks.
- 5+ years working with distributed, hybrid, and global teams across multiple time zones, with awareness of regional practices and cultural differences.
- 7+ years managing complex HR programs in agile, execution-focused, and high-accountability environments.
- 5+ years handling employee relations matters and supporting employment law and compliance requirements.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to turn ambiguous people challenges into practical solutions.
- Excellent communication, influencing, coaching, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build trust at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, combined with sound judgment and a high level of discretion.
- Comfort using Generative AI and technology-enabled workflows to improve HR processes and productivity.
- A collaborative, adaptable, inclusive, and hands-on approach suited to a rapidly changing global environment.
- Base salary of CAD $85,000–$115,000, plus bonus opportunities.
- Fully remote position within Canada.
- West Coast time zone alignment preferred.
