The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Business Systems based in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the business systems infrastructure of an innovative, fast-growing consumer electronics company focused on sustainability, modularity, and product longevity. In this hands-on technical leadership role, you will oversee the systems and integrations that power finance, e-commerce, operations, and supply chain activities. You will take end-to-end ownership of NetSuite while ensuring seamless connectivity across commerce platforms, logistics partners, payment providers, and financial tools. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will build scalable, reliable, and well-controlled business processes that support continued growth. You will also champion the responsible use of AI coding agents to accelerate development while maintaining rigorous standards for testing, security, and production reliability. This remote opportunity combines technical problem-solving, team leadership, and strategic decision-making in a collaborative, environmentally conscious organization.

Accountabilities:

  • NetSuite ownership and optimization: Manage the complete NetSuite environment, including configuration, workflows, saved searches, SuiteScript development, user roles, permissions, and core finance, operations, and supply chain processes.
  • Systems integration and development: Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot integrations between NetSuite and e-commerce platforms, online marketplaces, third-party logistics providers, payment and tax services, and financial systems using REST APIs, webhooks, Celigo, and custom ETL solutions.
  • AI-assisted development: Leverage AI coding agents to accelerate the development and debugging of SuiteScript applications and integrations. Establish robust standards for code reviews, sandbox testing, data reconciliation, validation, and production deployments to ensure reliable and secure outcomes.
  • EDI and partner connectivity: Manage electronic data interchange (EDI) integrations, onboard trading partners, maintain transaction mappings, investigate exceptions, and ensure accurate, timely information exchange across business systems.
  • Business systems roadmap: Develop and manage the systems roadmap in collaboration with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering. Prioritize requests, assess business needs, and determine when to purchase, configure, integrate, or develop technology solutions.
  • Team leadership and development: Manage, mentor, and support a NetSuite engineer while remaining actively involved in technical implementation, troubleshooting, and architectural decisions.
  • Business process enablement: Maintain and improve systems supporting order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory management, revenue recognition, payment processing, and month-end financial close.
  • Systems reliability and monitoring: Ensure business applications and integrations remain stable, observable, secure, and resilient. Monitor system performance, investigate incidents, resolve production issues, and implement improvements that prevent recurring problems.
  • Release and change management: Coordinate NetSuite releases, system upgrades, testing, documentation, and deployment procedures to minimize disruption and maintain business continuity.
  • Security and internal controls: Manage access reviews, user permissions, technical documentation, operational runbooks, and audit support to maintain appropriate governance and financial controls.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate operational requirements into effective technical solutions, communicate trade-offs, and ensure systems evolve alongside organizational needs.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, improve data quality, strengthen reporting, and increase the efficiency of business operations through scalable technology solutions.
  • Professional experience: At least seven years of experience in business systems, enterprise applications, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • NetSuite expertise: At least five years of hands-on experience administering NetSuite and developing with SuiteScript 2.x, including configuration, customization, workflow management, and troubleshooting.
  • AI-assisted software development: Daily, hands-on experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, with strong judgment in validating AI-generated code and deploying it safely into production environments.
  • Integration engineering: Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, integration platforms such as Celigo or Boomi, and/or custom ETL pipelines.
  • SQL and transactional data: Strong SQL skills and experience working with transactional business data, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring accurate data exchange between enterprise systems.
  • EDI expertise: Hands-on experience implementing and supporting EDI integrations with retail, distribution, logistics, or other trading partners.
  • Business process knowledge: Strong understanding of order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory management, revenue processes, payment operations, and month-end close.
  • Technical leadership: Experience managing, mentoring, or leading at least one engineer, systems administrator, or technical systems owner.
  • Systems reliability and governance: Understanding of release management, testing, access controls, system monitoring, documentation, and audit support.
  • Communication and collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Ownership and accountability: A proactive mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and a demonstrated commitment to owning system performance, production reliability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Preferred industry experience: Experience in hardware, manufacturing, consumer electronics, or another product-based business is an advantage.
  • E-commerce and supply chain systems: Familiarity with multi-region e-commerce, multiple legal entities or currencies, third-party logistics, serialized inventory, returns merchandise authorization (RMA), or complex fulfillment processes is preferred.
  • Cloud and data platforms: Experience with Google Cloud services such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, or Pub/Sub is beneficial.
  • Business intelligence and data warehousing: Experience with data modeling, pipeline scheduling, data quality monitoring, Looker, LookML, or other modern business intelligence platforms is an advantage.
  • AI tools and internal automation: Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or experience building AI-powered internal tools and agents is a plus.
  • Professional certifications: NetSuite SuiteFoundation, NetSuite Administrator, or SuiteCloud Developer certifications are desirable.
  • Financial controls and audit readiness: Experience designing financial controls or supporting audits within a growing organization is beneficial.
  • Remote work readiness: Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication, collaboration, and delivery standards. Employees based near the San Francisco headquarters may be expected to attend in-person collaboration sessions one day per week.
  • Competitive annual salary: $170,000–$190,000 USD, depending on experience, qualifications, work location, and other relevant factors.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
