The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Enterprise Practice Director – CE + F&O based in the United States.

Overview

As the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Enterprise Practice Director, you will lead the strategic direction, operational performance, growth, and profitability of an enterprise consulting practice spanning Customer Engagement (CE) and Finance & Operations (F&O) across North America. You will drive a fundamental transformation toward an AI-first business model, embedding Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, and intelligent automation into client solutions and service delivery. Combining executive leadership with commercial expertise, you will oversee financial performance, strengthen client relationships, and build high-performing teams across a global, matrixed organization. You will help shift the business from traditional time-based consulting toward scalable, industry-specific intellectual property, recurring revenue, and outcome-driven solutions. Working closely with sales, delivery, finance, and talent leaders, you will establish clear priorities, accelerate execution, and promote accountability at every level. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a commercially minded, technology-focused executive who thrives in complex environments and wants to shape the future of enterprise transformation through AI.

Accountabilities

  • Lead practice strategy and performance: Own the overall strategy, direction, growth, and operational performance of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and F&O practice across the United States and Canada, aligning business priorities with broader organizational objectives.
  • Drive AI-first business transformation: Define and execute a comprehensive roadmap for integrating AI into sales, solution development, implementation, and ongoing client services, leveraging Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI agents, Azure AI, and related technologies.
  • Evolve the business model: Accelerate the transition from traditional time-and-materials consulting toward industry-specific intellectual property, AI-enabled solutions, managed services, recurring revenue, and scalable, outcome-based offerings.
  • Establish strategic priorities: Translate business strategy into actionable plans, measurable objectives, operating expectations, and clear accountability frameworks that accelerate execution and restore growth momentum.
  • Own financial and commercial performance: Manage the practice's profit and loss (P&L), including revenue, profitability, gross margins, budgets, forecasts, utilization, billability, workforce planning, resource capacity, pipeline, backlog, and project economics.
  • Drive revenue growth: Partner with sales and solution leaders to develop industry-focused offerings, support strategic opportunities, strengthen pipeline conversion, and expand recurring and non-hours-based revenue streams.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams: Coach practice leaders, establish performance expectations, address underperformance, strengthen leadership capabilities, and develop succession plans to support sustainable organizational growth.
  • Promote accountability and execution: Ensure individuals and leaders take ownership of commitments, make timely decisions, resolve challenges directly, and consistently deliver measurable business results.
  • Oversee delivery excellence: Maintain executive oversight of major Dynamics 365 CE and F&O implementations, ensuring appropriate governance, delivery methodologies, quality standards, risk management, and project profitability.
  • Manage delivery risks: Work with delivery leaders to identify at-risk engagements, implement recovery plans, improve resource allocation, and strengthen delivery predictability across the practice.
  • Industrialize service delivery: Introduce AI-enabled tools, reusable accelerators, standardized processes, and industry intellectual property to improve productivity, reduce delivery effort, and increase consistency and scalability.
  • Strengthen strategic client relationships: Act as an executive sponsor and trusted advisor for key accounts, resolving complex commercial or delivery challenges and helping clients achieve measurable business outcomes.
  • Shape client-focused solutions: Position the practice as a strategic transformation partner by connecting industry challenges with enterprise applications, AI capabilities, and business performance improvements.
  • Improve operational management: Establish a consistent operating rhythm for reviewing financial performance, workforce capacity, client delivery, pipeline health, employee performance, and business risks.

  • Ensure responsible AI adoption: Promote secure, ethical, and appropriately governed AI usage across internal operations and client engagements.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration: Align sales, delivery, finance, people operations, and global service centers around shared objectives, clear responsibilities, and consistent execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Use operational data, client feedback, and performance indicators to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, simplify processes, and improve overall practice effectiveness.
  • Senior leadership experience: Significant leadership experience within a Microsoft Dynamics 365 consulting, professional services, systems integration, or comparable technology services organization.
  • Dynamics 365 expertise: Strong understanding of both Customer Engagement (CE/CRM) and Finance & Operations (F&O/ERP), including their role in enterprise transformation and business process optimization.
  • AI and enterprise technology knowledge: Strong working knowledge of enterprise AI capabilities, including Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI agents, Azure AI, Power Platform, and Microsoft's data ecosystem, with an understanding of their impact on client value and delivery economics.
  • Practice or business unit leadership: Demonstrated experience leading a sizable consulting practice, professional services organization, delivery function, or technology business unit.
  • Business model transformation: Proven ability to transition a services business toward scalable solutions, industry intellectual property, managed services, recurring revenue, or outcome-based commercial models.
  • P&L ownership: Extensive experience managing financial performance, including revenue, gross margin, profitability, budgets, forecasting, utilization, resource capacity, and workforce planning.
  • Commercial and sales leadership: Strong commercial judgment and experience supporting business development, solution design, project estimation, pricing, contract negotiations, and strategic account growth.
  • AI-enabled solution commercialization: Ability to develop and scale AI-driven offerings that deliver measurable business outcomes, improve delivery efficiency, and create differentiated market value.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
