The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Product Manager – Vertical Partnerships based in Canada.

Take the lead in shaping a scalable partnership ecosystem that connects digital products with the needs of businesses across multiple industries. In this high-impact individual contributor role, you will define product strategy, identify promising market opportunities, and build partner-driven experiences that accelerate customer acquisition and revenue growth. You will turn customer and market insights into actionable roadmaps, integrations, and industry-specific solutions. Working closely with engineering, design, sales, marketing, finance, and external partners, you will align stakeholders and drive initiatives from discovery through launch and optimization. You will also establish a repeatable framework for entering new verticals, validating opportunities, and scaling successful partnerships. This is an opportunity to combine strategic thinking, technical product leadership, and entrepreneurial execution within an established organization that values experimentation and measurable results.

Accountabilities

  • Own the product strategy, roadmap, and launch of partner-driven products and experiences across multiple industry verticals.
  • Develop a repeatable framework for identifying, validating, entering, and scaling new vertical markets, ensuring successful approaches can be adapted across industries.
  • Build and launch integrations, embedded experiences, co-developed offers, templates, and marketplace listings with platforms, industry associations, networks, franchises, agencies, resellers, e-commerce providers, and AI companies.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on APIs, data flows, authentication, system design, integration reliability, security, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Identify opportunities to use AI to improve partner and customer onboarding, content creation, and workflow automation, prioritizing initiatives in collaboration with engineering and design.
  • Conduct customer and partner discovery, translate market insights into product opportunities, and maintain a clearly prioritized roadmap and backlog.
  • Design and manage pilot programs with measurable success criteria, using performance data to determine whether initiatives should be scaled, refined, or discontinued.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Design, Engineering, Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Support, Customer Success, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Data, and Strategic Partnerships.
  • Influence decisions on product packaging, pricing, revenue-sharing arrangements, co-selling models, launch strategies, partner enablement, and ongoing support.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators, including partner-sourced accounts, activation, attach rate, retention, expansion, average selling price, and revenue.
  • Share insights, mentor colleagues informally, and help strengthen product management practices related to partnerships and vertical-market growth.
  • Build a pipeline of future vertical opportunities supported by market research, customer evidence, and measurable business potential.
  • 8+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, platform products, marketplaces, or partner-integration environments. Demonstrated outcomes and products shipped are especially valued.
  • Proven experience taking products from ambiguous initial problems through discovery, validation, minimum viable product development, and launch, preferably involving external partners or integrations.
  • Strong technical fluency, including the ability to discuss APIs, integrations, data models, and system design with engineers and translate requirements into clear product specifications.
  • Experience with vertical SaaS or industry-specific partnerships, such as real estate, financial services, home services, or other specialized markets.
  • Familiarity with commercial partnership models, including revenue sharing, co-selling, and embedded distribution.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect product decisions to business outcomes such as customer acquisition, revenue growth, attach rate, average selling price, and retention.
  • Strong customer and market research skills, with the ability to translate insights into effective product strategies for small businesses and industry-specific audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives, align stakeholders with competing priorities, and deliver results through influence rather than direct authority.
  • Strategic thinking and sound judgment, particularly when working with incomplete information, evolving market conditions, and limited existing processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to establish trust, clarify priorities, and build alignment across technical and commercial teams.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, with a willingness to experiment, challenge assumptions, learn from results, and continuously improve product and partnership strategies.
  • Competitive compensation: The advertised annual salary range is USD $148,782–$185,977. Compensation may vary based on experience, education, and work location; the applicable package for Canadian-based candidates should be confirmed during recruitment.
  • Health and welfare benefits designed to support employee well-being.
  • Paid leave and a generous paid time off policy.
  • Flexible work arrangements, with the role advertised as remote for eligible locations.
  • Professional development opportunities, including coaching, stretch assignments, and opportunities to expand your expertise across the business.
  • The opportunity to shape product strategy and launch innovative partnership experiences with company-wide impact.
  • Access to established customer relationships, market data, brand resources, and cross-functional expertise to accelerate experimentation and growth.
  • A collaborative environment that encourages initiative, ownership, rapid testing, and evidence-based decision-making.
  • An inclusive workplace that values diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and contributions.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
