The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Designer based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to shape intuitive digital experiences for a next-generation AI-powered tax platform. You’ll design products that help taxpayers and tax professionals navigate complex tax strategies and filing workflows with greater clarity and confidence. Working closely with product managers, engineers, customer support, and a distributed design team, you’ll take ideas from exploration and prototyping through implementation. You’ll contribute to a design system that creates consistency while making product development faster and more scalable. The role combines strong visual and interaction design with rapid iteration, user-centered problem solving, and emerging AI design practices. You’ll have meaningful influence over how users experience complex financial workflows and how design quality is maintained across the product. This is an environment for a curious designer who enjoys learning, experimenting, collaborating, and turning complicated problems into simple experiences.

Accountabilities

  • Design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that guide taxpayers through complex tax-saving strategies and filing workflows.
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on concepts, using designs to communicate ideas and gather feedback from stakeholders and customers.
  • Apply and evolve the product design system, maintaining consistency while simplifying and accelerating the design process.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, marketing, customer support, and other cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet user needs and technical requirements.
  • Work regularly with a US-based design team to exchange ideas, maintain design quality, and ensure a consistent product experience.
  • Partner with engineering teams throughout implementation to ensure the final product reflects approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Use design tools and established patterns to connect experiences across different product areas and solve complex design challenges.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and contribute to continuous improvement of the overall product experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Product Design, UI Design, UX/UI, or a related visual design discipline.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating product design, UX/UI thinking, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and successful project outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of UI design principles, interaction patterns, and modern product design practices.
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries, with an interest in helping evolve scalable design patterns.
  • Proficiency in Figma and an interest in adopting emerging AI-powered design tools and workflows.
  • Demonstrated curiosity about AI design tools and their application throughout the design and development lifecycle.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain and defend user-centered design decisions.
  • Ability to work independently, learn quickly, experiment, fail fast, and adapt based on feedback.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality user experiences.
  • Experience working with distributed or global teams is a plus.
  • Familiarity with user research and usability testing methodologies is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of front-end UI frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience designing financial, tax, or other complex domain products is desirable.
  • Familiarity with tax processes or financial services is an advantage.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Opportunity to work with next-generation AI throughout the design and software development lifecycle.
  • Access to design-to-code tooling that enables faster experimentation and product exploration.
  • Opportunity to contribute to an innovative platform transforming complex tax workflows.
  • Collaborative, mission-driven working environment with cross-functional and international teams.
  • Meaningful opportunity to influence how users understand and interact with complex financial and tax strategies.
  • Exposure to emerging AI technologies and modern product development practices.
  • Opportunity for professional growth through hands-on ownership and continuous learning.
  • Inclusive workplace that values diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences.
  • Background checks are required for candidates who receive and accept an employment offer.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
