This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Engineer - Organized Spaces based in United States.

As a Product Engineer, you will lead the technical development of products within the Organized Spaces category, helping transform design concepts into high-quality, functional products. You will guide products throughout their development lifecycle while ensuring they meet established quality, safety, performance, and compliance standards. The role combines technical expertise, product development, engineering judgment, and close collaboration with design, sourcing, merchandising, quality, compliance, and vendor teams. You will define technical specifications covering materials, construction, dimensions, fit, function, and performance requirements. You will also identify manufacturing challenges, recommend improvements, and help optimize cost, sustainability, assembly, and return on investment. Working in a collaborative and innovative environment, you will help ensure products consistently deliver the intended balance of style, quality, functionality, and value.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and execute the technical product development process for Organized Spaces products, ensuring products consistently meet established quality, performance, safety, and compliance standards throughout their development lifecycle.
  • Interpret designer concepts and translate them into practical technical solutions, providing guidance to design, sourcing, merchandising, and other cross-functional teams on product functionality, performance expectations, and technical feasibility.
  • Develop and maintain effective technical product specifications and quality standards covering raw materials, material performance, product dimensions, construction details, fit, function, and other relevant product requirements.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the intended product vision is clearly understood and accurately executed, while identifying manufacturing challenges and collaborating on solutions and product improvements.
  • Work closely with quality and compliance partners to understand applicable performance testing protocols and ensure products satisfy relevant testing, safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate category and competitive benchmarks to identify opportunities for technical improvement and help ensure products meet or exceed market performance expectations.
  • Leverage engineering and product development expertise to recommend improvements related to cost of goods, assembly, sustainability, product performance, and overall return on investment.
  • A four-year degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Product Development, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in product engineering, product development, manufacturing, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer product testing, safety standards, legal requirements, and compliance considerations.
  • Practical knowledge of raw materials, including their performance characteristics, appropriate applications, and usage within product development.
  • Strong proficiency with a variety of 2-D and/or 3-D CAD software packages and the ability to use technical design tools effectively.
  • Working knowledge of product manufacturing processes and the ability to translate technical requirements into manufacturable solutions.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and establish productive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Salary range of $73,000 to $132,000, with compensation determined by factors such as labor market, education, experience, and certifications.
  • Comprehensive health benefits and programs for eligible team members and dependents, which may include medical, vision, dental, and life insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement benefits for eligible team members.
  • Employee discount and a range of financial, education, and well-being programs.
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage, paid sick leave, paid national holidays, and paid vacation for eligible team members.
  • A collaborative and innovative environment with opportunities to work across engineering, technical design, quality, compliance, sourcing, merchandising, and vendor teams.
  • Full-time employment with opportunities to contribute directly to the development and technical quality of consumer products.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
