This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Rate Analyst - Global Forwarding based in the United States.

This is an opportunity for a logistics and freight-forwarding professional to play a key role in international transportation pricing and customer service. You will provide timely, accurate quotes for clients, agents, and sales representatives while supporting commercial and operational teams. The role combines freight-rate analysis, carrier relationship management, quotation management, and market awareness. You will maintain air and ocean freight pricing, evaluate carrier net rates, and help identify competitive transportation solutions. You will work closely with Sales, Operations, agents, carriers, and other business partners across North America. The position requires strong organization and analytical judgment to manage high volumes of requests while consistently meeting deadlines. As a remote, part-time position with benefits, it offers flexibility alongside opportunities to build expertise in the dynamic and evolving global forwarding industry.

Accountabilities:

  • Prepare and provide accurate freight quotes to clients, agents, and sales representatives within established service timelines.
  • Support Sales and Freight Operations teams with rate requests, pricing questions, and quotation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate quote logs, pricing records, and related reports.
  • Maintain and update air and ocean freight carrier rates for the assigned market or branch.
  • Analyze carrier net rates to identify competitive pricing and support commercially effective freight solutions.
  • Review and update client quotations in collaboration with Sales and Operations to ensure pricing remains accurate and current.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with carriers, agents, internal stakeholders, and other business partners.
  • Keep customers informed about relevant industry developments, market changes, and regulatory updates through telephone and email communication.
  • Support Sales with quotation follow-up and related customer requests.
  • Communicate with freight management and other stakeholders regarding pricing, customer, and operational requirements.
  • Follow established policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Perform additional related responsibilities as required by management.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, international logistics, transportation, pricing, or a related field.
  • Associate's degree or other post-secondary education.
  • Strong operational knowledge of international air and ocean transportation requirements, including carriers, agent networks, and dangerous goods regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate freight rates, compare pricing options, and identify competitive solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Operations, agents, and business partners across the United States and Canada.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and a high volume of work while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated accountability, adaptability, business judgment, and customer-first thinking.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving international trade environment.
  • Part-time employment with benefits.
  • Fully remote work opportunity for eligible candidates in the United States.
  • Stated salary range of approximately $21.63–$33.41 USD, with actual compensation based on location, experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
  • Additional incentive opportunities as part of the overall compensation package.
  • Comprehensive employee benefits.
  • Professional development and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Flexible, growth-oriented working environment.
  • Culture centered on respect, recognition, collaboration, accountability, and inclusion.
  • Opportunities to develop specialized knowledge of international freight forwarding, transportation pricing, and global trade.
  • Workplace accommodations available throughout the recruitment process for qualified individuals who require them.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
