The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Regional Strategic Site Partnership Lead (Senior Director) based in United States.

This senior leadership position focuses on building and strengthening strategic partnerships with clinical research sites and site organizations across an assigned region and therapeutic area. You will act as a trusted enterprise-level partner, engaging senior executives and C-suite stakeholders to establish durable, mutually beneficial relationships. The role combines clinical development expertise, strategic relationship management, operational excellence, and strong commercial judgment. You will help improve clinical trial execution by strengthening collaboration, reducing startup timelines, and establishing measurable quality and performance standards. Working across a complex, global matrix, you will align internal teams and external partners around shared priorities and portfolio objectives. Your leadership will contribute to more patient-centric, diverse, efficient, and high-quality clinical research programs. This remote, field-based opportunity is designed for an experienced healthcare leader who can influence at the highest levels and thrive in a fast-moving environment.

Accountabilities

  • Identify high-performing clinical research sites and site organizations based on therapeutic-area requirements and strategic priorities.
  • Build, develop, and nurture long-term business-to-business partnerships with research sites and networks, including relationships with C-suite and governance-level stakeholders.
  • Serve as the enterprise point of contact for strategic site partners, developing customized engagement models that create value for both parties.
  • Provide operational guidance focused on transparency, tailored support, senior leadership access, quality, and effective service delivery.
  • Work closely with strategic partnership leadership and cross-functional teams to implement regional site partnership strategies aligned with global objectives.
  • Develop partnerships that combine the strengths, resources, and capabilities of participating organizations to accelerate clinical development and improve outcomes.
  • Partner with clinical development and site operations teams to reduce the time required for trial startup activities and improve execution efficiency.
  • Collaborate on new innovations, capabilities, and quality standards that strengthen the clinical research partnership model.
  • Lead regular discussions with C-suite contacts, identify emerging opportunities, and strengthen executive-level relationships.
  • Establish productive relationships with key internal and external decision-makers to facilitate alignment, resolve challenges, and achieve mutual objectives.
  • Develop proactive strategies for addressing enterprise-level concerns, mitigating risks, and maintaining high partner satisfaction.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for strategic partners and site networks, using performance data and annual assessments to drive operational excellence and inform future partnership decisions.
  • Influence, guide, and collaborate with colleagues across functions to deliver meaningful outcomes and measurable business impact.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent, in a medical, scientific, technical, or healthcare-related discipline.
  • 12+ years of broad experience in drug development, clinical trial conduct, global clinical trial operations, or a related healthcare environment, with progressive experience in senior leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical development processes, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and clinical trial operations.
  • Sufficient therapeutic-area expertise to engage credibly in discussions with healthcare professionals and clinical research stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success building executive-level relationships and influencing C-suite decision-makers within the healthcare sector.
  • Proven experience managing complex business-to-business relationships with healthcare systems, research organizations, or strategic partners.
  • Experience establishing, negotiating, and managing complex strategic contracts and partnership arrangements.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to systematically evaluate, prioritize, and pursue multiple strategic opportunities.
  • Data-driven leadership capabilities, including experience using KPIs, metrics, and analytics to establish accountability and improve organizational performance.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated results orientation, persistence, sound judgment, and strong follow-through.
  • Ability to operate successfully within a complex, matrixed organization and collaborate effectively across clinical development, country operations, and site operations teams.
  • Proven ability to manage yourself effectively, drive results independently, and adapt to ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Strong leadership experience, including influencing peers, coaching others, and guiding colleagues toward meaningful outcomes.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional local-language capabilities are advantageous.
  • Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Annual base salary range of $214,900–$358,100 USD, depending on location, qualifications, experience, and other applicable factors.
  • Eligibility for a performance-based annual bonus with a target of 22.5% of base salary.
  • Eligibility to participate in a share-based long-term incentive program.
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits, including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions and an additional retirement savings contribution.
  • Paid vacation, holidays, and personal days.
  • Paid caregiver, parental, and medical leave.
  • Remote, field-based working arrangement.
  • Potential relocation assistance based on business needs and eligibility.
  • Opportunities to operate at a senior strategic level within global clinical development and healthcare partnerships.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
