This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP ABAP Developer with BRIM based in India.

This is a senior technical opportunity to develop and evolve enterprise billing and revenue management solutions using SAP BRIM and ABAP. You’ll work across Subscription Order Management, Convergent Invoicing, Convergent Charging, and FI-CA. The role combines hands-on development, systems integration, performance optimization, testing, and production support. You’ll translate complex business and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions for subscription- and usage-based billing models. You’ll collaborate with architects, functional consultants, integration teams, finance stakeholders, and infrastructure specialists. The position offers exposure to large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives and high-volume billing environments. It is well suited to an experienced SAP professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and delivering reliable, business-critical solutions.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP BRIM technical solutions across SOM, CI, CC, and FI-CA.
  • Develop custom ABAP enhancements, interfaces, workflows, forms, APIs, and automation solutions supporting billing and revenue management processes.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, maintainable, and secure technical solutions.
  • Develop and enhance SAP Subscription Order Management processes, including order capture, contract modifications, fulfillment integrations, and subscription lifecycle workflows.
  • Build APIs and integrations supporting order orchestration, provisioning, and subscription management.
  • Develop and support Convergent Charging configurations and customizations covering usage-based billing, rating logic, mediation, pricing, and charging frameworks.
  • Optimize charging and transaction processing performance in high-volume environments.
  • Develop and support Convergent Invoicing functionality, including billing aggregation, invoice generation, formatting, reconciliation, financial postings, and billing automation.
  • Develop and support FI-CA solutions covering customer account management, payment processing, collections, dunning, financial postings, disputes, and account reconciliation.
  • Support integration between SAP FI-CA, S/4HANA Finance, and other enterprise systems.
  • Develop ABAP programs, BADIs, user exits, enhancements, RFCs, OData services, APIs, and web services.
  • Design and support integrations between SAP BRIM and S/4HANA, CRM/CX platforms, middleware, integration platforms, and third-party billing or payment systems.
  • Collaborate with integration architects and middleware teams on interface design and implementation.
  • Plan and execute unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot defects, perform debugging and root-cause analysis, and resolve technical issues.
  • Analyze application performance and optimize billing, charging, and transaction-processing efficiency.
  • Participate in deployments, cutovers, maintenance windows, incident response, and production support activities.
  • Create and maintain technical specifications, interface documentation, operational procedures, development standards, and technical runbooks.
  • Ensure solutions comply with enterprise development standards, security requirements, and governance processes.
  • Collaborate with SAP BRIM architects, functional consultants, data migration teams, BASIS administrators, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
  • 7–15 years of professional experience, with proven experience supporting enterprise billing and revenue management solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP BRIM components, including Subscription Order Management (SOM), Convergent Invoicing (CI), Convergent Charging (CC), and FI-CA.
  • Strong ABAP development expertise, including enhancements, user exits, BADIs, APIs, OData services, workflows, and integration development.
  • Experience supporting subscription-based and usage-based billing processes.
  • Practical experience with SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of middleware, APIs, enterprise integration patterns, and third-party system integrations.
  • Experience with application performance tuning, debugging, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Strong understanding of SAP architecture, billing and invoicing processes, financial integration concepts, and enterprise application environments.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop effective, scalable solutions.
  • Strong software development and debugging capabilities with a focus on solution quality and operational stability.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into clear technical designs and implementations.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
  • SAP certifications in ABAP, SAP BRIM, SAP HANA, or S/4HANA are preferred.
  • Experience with SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Fiori, SAP Datasphere, cloud-native SAP deployments, DevOps, or CI/CD methodologies is an advantage.
  • Experience in utilities, telecommunications, transportation, finance, or other subscription-based industries is a plus.
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise transformation programs and Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies is desirable.
  • Prior consulting or contract experience within enterprise SAP environments is beneficial.
  • SAP BTP and cloud certifications such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud certifications are additional advantages.
  • Annual compensation of INR 4,500,000–5,500,000.
