The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SDLC Transformation Director based in Canada.

This is a senior commercial and transformation leadership role focused on accelerating enterprise software delivery modernization and digital transformation. You will own growth across strategic accounts, combining enterprise sales leadership, consulting expertise, and client value realization. The role offers the opportunity to advise CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, and senior engineering leaders on complex technology transformation initiatives. You will shape multi-year transformation roadmaps spanning SDLC modernization, DevOps, governance, cloud, security, platform engineering, and AI. Working across sales, consulting, engineering, delivery, marketing, and technology partners, you will turn market needs into scalable offerings and commercial opportunities. The environment is highly collaborative, entrepreneurial, and outcome-driven, with significant autonomy and executive-level exposure. This role is ideal for a strategic technology leader who combines deep technical credibility with strong commercial judgment and a track record of enterprise growth.

Accountabilities

  • Own the SDLC and DevOps transformation portfolio across strategic and enterprise accounts, with responsibility for qualified pipeline, bookings, revenue, margin, client outcomes, satisfaction, and account growth.
  • Partner with Account Executives to identify, qualify, prioritize, and close transformation opportunities, including new-logo acquisition and expansion within existing enterprise accounts.
  • Lead transformation consulting activities from opportunity identification and executive alignment through solution design, proposal development, negotiation, and close.
  • Develop and execute account strategies that expand relationships across enterprise strategy, SDLC platform modernization, governance, DevOps, cloud, security, and AI.
  • Collaborate with practice leadership to identify market needs, emerging technologies, and client challenges that can be translated into repeatable consulting propositions.
  • Define compelling offerings, including target audiences, value propositions, delivery approaches, qualification criteria, pricing assumptions, and supporting proof points.
  • Turn successful client engagements into reusable methodologies, accelerators, case studies, and expansion opportunities while supporting consultant development.
  • Design and lead end-to-end transformation frameworks covering operating models, governance, processes, technology, organizational change, adoption, and value realization.
  • Lead solution development for complex engagements involving platforms and technologies such as Atlassian, GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD, DevOps, platform engineering, AI-enabled delivery, security, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Help clients establish practical target states, phased transformation roadmaps, investment cases, governance structures, and measurable success criteria.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies in collaboration with sales, marketing, consulting practices, regional leadership, and strategic technology partners.
  • Create repeatable industry, account, and use-case plays and equip sales teams with discovery questions, qualification guidance, messaging, case studies, proposal content, and commercial tools.
  • Lead executive briefings, workshops, QBRs, industry events, thought-leadership activities, and joint campaigns to generate qualified demand.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior technology and business executives, maintaining executive alignment through steering committees, value reviews, and strategic discussions.
  • Act as a senior client relationship and value-realization leader, partnering with delivery teams on execution, governance, risks, escalations, and opportunities for account expansion.
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting, professional services, enterprise technology, or a related environment, including at least 5 years in client-facing leadership positions such as Client Partner, Engagement Director, or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in enterprise sales, commercial leadership, consulting growth, or managing complex transformation pursuits.
  • Demonstrated success scaling consulting offerings and go-to-market initiatives and leading multi-million-dollar portfolios in partnership with sales and delivery leadership.
  • Strong expertise in software development lifecycle modernization, including requirements management, source control, CI/CD, test automation, release management, and value-stream metrics.
  • Proven experience incorporating AI and large language model capabilities into enterprise SDLC and DevOps practices, such as code assistants, agentic workflows, AI-driven testing, or intelligent IT service management.
  • Strong DevOps and solution architecture expertise, with hands-on or architectural depth in CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, Kubernetes/EKS, infrastructure as code, and observability.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business outcomes and commercial propositions for executive audiences.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, communication, negotiation, and consultative-selling skills, with experience developing high-performing teams and aligning diverse stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is an asset.
  • Experience with the Atlassian ecosystem, including Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, or related platforms, is preferred.
  • Professional certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP architecture, TOGAF, Kubernetes, ITIL, SAFe, or HashiCorp technologies is an advantage.
  • Experience scaling AI platform capabilities such as RAG, MCP, or agent orchestration, particularly within regulated industries, is desirable.
  • Established relationships with cloud technology partners and experience developing joint go-to-market initiatives are an asset.
  • Prior P&L ownership within consulting, systems integration, or professional services is a plus.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada or the United States without requiring current or future employment visa sponsorship.
  • Competitive compensation package with an annual performance-based bonus.
  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching.
  • Four weeks of paid time off per year, plus public holidays.
  • Flexible remote working policy.
  • Training support, including dedicated time and budget for professional development.
  • Opportunities to grow your skills and advance your career in a global transformation environment.
  • Multicultural and international team with exposure to clients, partners, and colleagues across multiple regions.
  • High level of autonomy and visibility, with the opportunity to directly influence strategic client outcomes and business growth.
  • Inclusive, barrier-free workplace committed to equal opportunity and diverse perspectives.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
