The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Business Analyst, AI Studio - Operation & Manufacturing Domain based in United States.

The Senior Business Analyst will shape high-value AI, automation, and process opportunities before technical design and delivery begin. The role sits at the intersection of business architecture, AI, process improvement, and digital transformation. You will lead discovery with stakeholders across Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Product, Architecture, and Delivery. Your work will turn ambiguous business needs into structured opportunities with clear scope, value drivers, risks, and measurable outcomes. You will help strengthen portfolio prioritization and ensure opportunities are ready for technical review and delivery planning. The environment is global, collaborative, matrixed, and innovation-focused, with opportunities to use AI tools to accelerate business analysis. Success will depend on your ability to connect complex business challenges to practical solutions and sustainable business value.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead business discovery activities for AI, automation, process intelligence, digital workflow, and productivity opportunities, helping stakeholders transform business challenges into clearly defined opportunities.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, Product Managers, Solution Partners, Delivery Architects, and Delivery Leads to clarify needs, scope, expected outcomes, priorities, dependencies, and readiness for technical review.
  • Translate ambiguous requests into structured opportunity statements that capture the business problem, stakeholder impact, current-state pain points, desired future state, value drivers, risks, assumptions, dependencies, and success measures.
  • Assess incoming requests for clarity, completeness, business alignment, and readiness to move through intake, discovery, prioritization, technical review, and delivery planning.
  • Capture stakeholder perspectives and create business architecture artifacts such as opportunity briefs, process maps, value summaries, business case inputs, decision narratives, and discovery documentation.
  • Define current-state and future-state business processes using appropriate methods such as process flows, SIPOC diagrams, value stream maps, journey maps, capability maps, and decision flows.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, gaps, handoffs, dependencies, risks, business rules, and opportunities where AI, automation, or process improvements can create measurable value.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify value drivers such as productivity, cost avoidance, quality and compliance, customer experience, employee experience, speed-to-patient, revenue growth, sustainability, and broader transformation objectives.
  • Support business cases by documenting value assumptions, adoption expectations, measurable outcomes, benefit hypotheses, and the connection between business activity and expected value.
  • Help distinguish product-level, release-level, new, and sustained value to support portfolio planning, prioritization, and value tracking.
  • Collect and validate business-side prioritization inputs, including strategic value, product value, release value, value confidence, reputational risk, dependencies, severity, urgency, and business resource commitments.
  • Prepare opportunities for Technical Review by ensuring business context, scope, desired outcomes, data and content sources, access and security needs, dependencies, subject-matter experts, sample use cases, and business contacts are clearly documented.
  • Partner with Delivery Architects to identify gaps before technical feasibility assessment and support effective handoffs from discovery into technical design and delivery planning.
  • Create leadership-ready summaries that clearly communicate business problems, value drivers, recommendations, scope, risks, tradeoffs, and next steps.
  • Support prioritization discussions by helping stakeholders understand how value, urgency, risk, strategic alignment, and effort influence portfolio decisions.
  • Use approved AI tools, including ChatGPT and similar technologies, to accelerate discovery, summarize stakeholder input, improve documentation, structure business cases, and create reusable process artifacts.
  • Collaborate across global, virtual, and cross-functional teams to align business, product, architecture, and delivery stakeholders around clear outcomes and execution readiness.
  • Promote continuous improvement across intake, discovery, business architecture, value definition, prioritization, and pre-delivery readiness practices.
  • Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or a Master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience; or an Associate’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma/GED with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working in regulated life sciences environments, with familiarity with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, computer system validation, quality systems, or comparable compliance requirements.
  • Strong domain knowledge of pharmaceutical or life sciences processes, preferably across Process Development, Quality, Manufacturing, and/or Supply Chain.
  • Proven business architecture, business analysis, and problem-framing capabilities, including the ability to lead discovery and convert ambiguous business needs into structured, decision-ready opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of demand intake, opportunity assessment, discovery, prioritization, technical review preparation, and pre-delivery planning.
  • Experience documenting business problems, stakeholder needs, current and future-state processes, value drivers, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
  • Experience supporting business cases, value assessments, ROI estimates, benefit hypotheses, or value realization planning, with the ability to connect business activity to measurable outcomes.
  • Strong process documentation and modeling capabilities, including experience with process flows, SIPOC, value stream mapping, journey mapping, capability mapping, or similar techniques.
  • Ability to simplify complex or ambiguous problems into clear opportunity statements, business narratives, process flows, recommendations, and leadership-ready presentations.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate alignment across business, product, architecture, solution, delivery, and leadership teams.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, including the ability to validate assumptions using available data and stakeholder input.
  • Ability to use approved AI tools to improve discovery outputs, summarize information, structure documentation, draft business cases, and increase the speed and quality of business architecture activities.
  • Ability to work independently in a matrixed environment while managing multiple stakeholders, priorities, and discovery efforts.
  • Experience with AI, automation, process intelligence, digital workflow, enterprise platforms, or transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as UiPath, DocuSign, Celonis, Power Platform, WalkMe, Custom GPTs, ChatGPT, or similar AI and automation platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with value and prioritization frameworks such as WSJF, portfolio governance, PI planning, or product-led operating models is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with tools and methodologies such as BPMN, Miro, Lucidchart, Visio, Jira, Jira Align, Smartsheet, Confluence, or comparable business and portfolio management platforms is advantageous.
  • Experience working in Agile, SAFe, Scrum, or product-led delivery environments is preferred, as are professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, SAFe, BPM, Business Architecture, Product Management, or related credentials.
  • Demonstrates integrity, sound judgment, active listening, transparent communication, and reliable follow-through when working with sensitive business information and stakeholder priorities.
  • Maintains a strong focus on measurable value while balancing urgency with quality, compliance, ethics, risk awareness, and sustainable business impact.
  • Annual salary range of $120,677.05–$163,268.95 USD, with actual compensation varying based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and other factors.
  • Comprehensive health and welfare benefits for eligible employees and dependents, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Retirement and savings opportunities with company contributions.
  • Life and disability insurance, as well as flexible spending account options.
  • Discretionary annual bonus opportunities.
  • Stock-based long-term incentive opportunities.
  • Award-winning paid time-off programs.
  • Flexible work models, with this position offered as a fully remote role within the United States.
  • Career development and professional growth opportunities in an innovative AI, automation, data, and digital transformation environment.
  • Opportunity to work on enterprise-scale initiatives connecting AI and automation to measurable business outcomes in regulated life sciences operations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
