The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior DevOps Lead/Architect based in Brazil.

As a Senior DevOps Lead/Architect, you will shape the architecture, security, and operational reliability of enterprise-scale DevOps platforms supporting complex software delivery environments. You will lead the design and evolution of CI/CD infrastructure across AWS and Kubernetes, ensuring development teams can deliver software efficiently, securely, and consistently. Combining hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership, you will establish engineering standards, guide platform modernization, and oversee critical transitions with minimal disruption. You will also drive DevSecOps practices, strengthen security compliance, and ensure platform resilience through effective monitoring, incident management, and disaster recovery planning. Working closely with engineering teams, technical leadership, and customer stakeholders, you will influence technical decisions and mentor DevOps professionals. This is an opportunity to take ownership of mission-critical infrastructure in a collaborative, security-focused environment supporting demanding enterprise and government requirements.

Accountabilities:

  • Platform Architecture and Technical Strategy: Own the end-to-end architecture of the DevOps platform, including CI/CD pipelines, AWS EKS, artifact management, vulnerability scanning, test management, observability, and performance testing. Maintain reference architectures, system diagrams, and architecture decision records.
  • Technical Roadmap and Modernization: Develop and maintain a multi-year platform roadmap, identifying opportunities for modernization, consolidation, capacity improvements, and cost optimization. Evaluate total cost of ownership and migration impacts, and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Platform Transition and Operational Readiness: Lead technical activities associated with transitioning platform operations from a previous provider, including knowledge transfer, configuration baselining, parallel-run validation, and readiness assessments. Ensure operational continuity throughout the transition.
  • CI/CD Engineering Standards: Establish and maintain standards for pipeline-as-code, shared libraries, security gates, and progressive delivery using Jenkins/CloudBees CI, Kubernetes, and GitHub. Review significant changes, upgrades, migrations, and pipeline configuration updates.
  • Artifact Management and Code Quality: Define repository management, access controls, retention policies, and vulnerability scanning standards for tools such as JFrog Artifactory and JFrog Xray. Establish quality gates and integration practices for platforms such as SonarQube.
  • Testing and Observability: Direct the integration of test management tools, monitoring and observability platforms such as Grafana and Prometheus, and performance testing solutions such as Apache JMeter. Ensure these capabilities support reliable, measurable software delivery.
  • DevSecOps and Security Compliance: Maintain platform-level security controls covering secrets management, Infrastructure as Code security, software supply chain security, software bills of materials (SBOMs), dependency scanning, and Zero Trust principles.
  • Security Authorization and Risk Management: Support Authorization to Operate (ATO) maintenance and other security authorization activities in collaboration with security stakeholders. Coordinate continuous monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) tracking while maintaining clear security responsibilities across teams.
  • Reliability and Incident Management: Serve as the senior technical escalation point for critical platform incidents. Lead incident response, complex troubleshooting, and root cause analysis while maintaining effective runbooks, recovery procedures, and escalation paths.
  • Performance and Service Metrics: Define service level indicators, service level objectives, and delivery metrics, including DORA metrics, in collaboration with technical delivery leadership. Monitor performance trends and communicate findings to customer leadership.
  • Technical Leadership and Mentoring: Provide architectural guidance, technical direction, design and code reviews, and mentorship to DevOps engineers. Promote consistent engineering practices and continuous improvement across the team.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Governance: Work closely with the CI/CD Team Lead/Technical Delivery Manager, Program Manager, tools administrators, service desk leadership, development teams, customer stakeholders, and external contractors. Maintain accurate architecture documentation, configuration records, operational procedures, and technical standards.
  • Innovation and Tool Evaluation: Research, assess, and prototype new tools and engineering practices, including AI-enabled solutions where permitted by customer governance policies. Present technical options and recommendations that align with operational, security, and business objectives.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professional Experience: At least 10 years of information technology experience, including 7 or more years in DevOps or platform engineering and at least 3 years in a technical leadership or architecture role.
  • Enterprise CI/CD Architecture: Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and operating enterprise-scale CI/CD platforms, particularly Jenkins or CloudBees CI running on Kubernetes or Amazon EKS.
  • Cloud and Infrastructure Engineering: Strong experience designing AWS-based architectures and managing infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, as well as Kubernetes and Helm.
  • DevOps Tooling Expertise: Hands-on experience with GitHub, JFrog Artifactory, JFrog Xray, SonarQube, Grafana, Prometheus, Apache JMeter, TestRail, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • DevSecOps and Security: Practical knowledge of secrets management, infrastructure security, software supply chain controls, SBOM generation, vulnerability management, and Zero Trust principles.
  • Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge: Experience working with security and compliance frameworks such as FISMA and the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), including ATO processes and continuous monitoring requirements.
  • Platform Migration Experience: Proven ability to lead or support platform transitions, migrations, or provider handovers while minimizing disruption to users and maintaining operational continuity.
  • Technical Leadership: Ability to establish architecture standards, guide engineering teams, review complex technical decisions, and mentor engineers while remaining comfortable with hands-on technical work.
  • Strategic Decision-Making: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess competing technical options, balance security and operational needs, and communicate recommendations effectively to technical and executive audiences.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, customer stakeholders, and external contractors.
  • Remote Work and Accountability: Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, maintain comprehensive technical documentation, and provide effective leadership within a distributed environment.
  • Background Investigation: Ability to obtain and maintain the public trust background investigation or other required clearance, subject to customer requirements.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting federal government, healthcare, or other regulated environments; relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), CloudBees certifications, or CISSP; familiarity with Agile and SAFe delivery models; and experience applying AI governance to engineering tools.
  • Healthcare Coverage: Access to healthcare benefits designed to support employee well-being.
  • Life Insurance: Life insurance benefits for additional financial protection.
  • Disability Coverage: Disability benefits to provide support in the event of a qualifying disability.
  • Paid Time Off: Paid leave to support rest, personal commitments, and work-life balance.
  • Retirement Savings: 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
  • Employee Referral Bonus: Opportunities to earn bonuses for successful employee referrals.
  • Education Assistance: Support for eligible educational and professional development expenses.
  • Learning and Development: Access to learning resources and development opportunities to strengthen technical expertise and leadership capabilities.
  • Remote Work: Fully remote working arrangement, offering flexibility in where you perform your work, subject to applicable customer and operational requirements.
  • Inclusive Workplace: An equal opportunity environment that values diversity and bases employment decisions on merit, qualifications, competence, and talent.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
