As a Senior Digital Analytics Strategist, you will lead measurement strategy and analytics initiatives that help businesses turn complex digital data into actionable insights. You will combine deep technical expertise with strategic consulting skills to optimize tracking implementations, improve data quality, and guide high-impact business decisions. Working with leading B2B and direct-to-consumer brands, you will define meaningful KPIs, strengthen attribution models, and identify opportunities to improve customer journeys and conversion rates. You will collaborate with development, design, media, and client services teams to deliver reliable, privacy-conscious analytics solutions. You will also advise senior stakeholders, communicate recommendations clearly, and help clients understand how data can drive measurable business growth. In this fully remote role, you will contribute to a fast-moving, collaborative agency environment while helping shape innovative analytics services, including the responsible use of AI.

Accountabilities

  • Lead measurement strategy: Define client KPIs, develop comprehensive measurement plans, and establish frameworks that connect digital analytics to business objectives and decision-making.
  • Conduct analytics audits: Assess tracking implementations across GA4, Google Tag Manager, server-side tagging, Shopify Customer Events, Amplitude, Triple Whale, and related platforms to identify data quality issues, tracking gaps, and compliance risks.
  • Oversee analytics implementation: Develop technical specifications, data layer architectures, event models, UTM taxonomies, and BigQuery integrations to ensure accurate, consistent, and actionable data collection.
  • Manage quality assurance and monitoring: Lead implementation testing, validate tracking accuracy, monitor post-launch performance, and establish proactive alerts to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Advise clients and senior stakeholders: Lead client meetings and presentations, explain complex analytical findings in accessible language, provide clear recommendations, and define ownership of follow-up actions.
  • Drive conversion optimization: Use analytics, heatmaps, behavioral insights, and experimentation data to inform conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies and improve digital experiences.
  • Develop attribution strategies: Evaluate multi-touch attribution and cross-channel customer journeys, investigate differences in platform-reported revenue, and recommend approaches to improve measurement consistency.
  • Support privacy and consent compliance: Advise on consent management, cookie banners, data retention, and applicable privacy regulations in collaboration with developers, client legal teams, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with development, design, media, client services, and external partners to align analytics requirements, clarify responsibilities, and ensure successful delivery.
  • Support migrations and redesigns: Lead analytics planning for major website migrations, platform transitions, and redesign projects, ensuring tracking continuity and measurement consistency before and after launch.
  • Develop the analytics practice: Create standardized documentation, reusable deliverables, and repeatable processes; refine the analytics technology stack; and contribute to service development, sales proposals, project scoping, and client pitches.
  • Integrate emerging technologies: Evaluate developments in AI, search, shopping behavior, attribution, and measurement technology, identifying opportunities to improve analytics workflows and service delivery.
  • Mentor and support colleagues: Share technical expertise, guide other analysts, and contribute to the development of analytics capabilities and best practices across the team.
  • Professional experience: At least seven years of experience in digital analytics, measurement strategy, digital strategy, or a related field, ideally within a digital agency or consulting environment.
  • Analytics expertise: Advanced proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, including server-side tagging, and BigQuery, with demonstrated experience developing and troubleshooting complex measurement implementations.
  • E-commerce analytics: Strong understanding of e-commerce measurement, online customer journeys, conversion tracking, and revenue attribution. Experience with Shopify and its analytics ecosystem is highly desirable.
  • Technical implementation skills: Experience designing data layers, event tracking frameworks, UTM taxonomies, analytics specifications, QA processes, and post-launch monitoring systems.
  • Platform knowledge: Familiarity with tools such as Amplitude, Triple Whale, Shopify Customer Events, and other analytics, experimentation, and marketing measurement platforms.
  • Privacy and consent management: Practical knowledge of consent management platforms, including OneTrust, and privacy frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and emerging U.S. state privacy laws.
  • Attribution and customer journey expertise: Understanding of multi-touch attribution, cross-channel performance measurement, off-site customer journeys, and the challenges of reconciling revenue across advertising and analytics platforms.
  • Web development familiarity: Experience working with Shopify or Drupal websites, including headless implementations, is an advantage. The ability to collaborate effectively with developers on technical tracking requirements is essential.
  • Strategic problem-solving: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to diagnose complex issues, prioritize opportunities, and translate findings into practical recommendations that support measurable business outcomes.
  • Communication and presentation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead client discussions, present to senior stakeholders, explain technical concepts clearly, and confidently guide strategic decisions.
  • Client and stakeholder management: Demonstrated ability to build trusted client relationships, ask insightful questions, manage expectations, and coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Process development: A proactive approach to documentation, standardization, and continuous improvement, with an interest in building scalable workflows and strengthening team capabilities.
  • Leadership and mentoring: Experience mentoring analysts or helping develop an analytics service offering is a plus.
  • AI adoption: Experience integrating AI tools into analytical workflows is beneficial, along with an interest in using emerging technologies responsibly to improve efficiency and insight generation.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced, collaborative team environment and supporting a diverse portfolio of B2B and direct-to-consumer clients across industries.
  • Location requirement: Must reside and work in the United States. This is a fully remote position.
  • Comprehensive healthcare: 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
