The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director, Strategic Client Sales, Corporate Financial Services based in United States.

This executive sales leadership role is responsible for driving growth across some of the largest strategic financial-services clients in the United States and globally. You will lead a global team focused on expanding relationships with Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, and Investor Relations stakeholders. The position combines enterprise sales leadership, strategic account management, consultative selling, and revenue ownership. You will operate as the business leader for your portfolio, setting strategy, developing pipeline, and holding the team accountable for ambitious growth targets. Success requires strong executive presence, deep B2B SaaS sales expertise, and the ability to build lasting relationships with senior client decision-makers. You will work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product Specialists, and other cross-functional teams to accelerate opportunities and strengthen client value. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape global sales strategy and contribute directly to continued growth in a rapidly evolving market.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead a global strategic sales team responsible for expanding the Corporate persona footprint across a defined portfolio of approximately 130 major financial-services clients.
  • Own the overall commercial strategy and revenue performance for the business, establishing priorities, setting expectations, and creating a high-performance culture focused on exceeding sales targets.
  • Oversee the team’s role as an overlay to the broader financial-services strategic sales organization, coordinating closely on opportunities within the team’s mandate and delivering against shared revenue objectives.
  • Develop long-term account strategies supported by clear short- and medium-term execution plans, combining transactional sales motions with an enterprise-level approach to strategic growth.
  • Build strong relationships with C-level executives, senior decision-makers, influencers, and other key client stakeholders to establish trust, credibility, and long-term partnerships.
  • Guide the team in applying consultative selling techniques to uncover client needs, identify emerging opportunities, understand competitive dynamics, and position solutions around measurable customer value.
  • Develop strong internal partnerships across Customer Success, Sales Development, Product Specialists, Marketing, and other functions, securing alignment and mobilizing resources to achieve revenue outcomes.
  • Coordinate pipeline development and forecasting activities, ensuring the team maintains sufficient coverage and provides accurate visibility into expected performance.
  • Partner with Marketing to strengthen market awareness, increase engagement within strategic accounts, and support broader commercial growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Product Specialists during client trials to maximize engagement, address customer needs, and advance opportunities toward successful outcomes.
  • Capture market intelligence, client feedback, and evolving product needs and communicate relevant insights to Sales, Product Management, Content, and Product Marketing teams.
  • Coach, motivate, and develop sales leaders and team members while reinforcing accountability, initiative, strong work ethic, and consistent execution.
  • 15+ years of relevant B2B SaaS sales experience, with a strong record of delivering growth in complex enterprise or strategic-account environments.
  • Extensive sales management experience, preferably leading global strategic-client teams with responsibility for large, complex customer portfolios.
  • Demonstrated success managing high-performing teams that consistently meet or exceed sales targets and build a strong culture of accountability and achievement.
  • Proven ability to lead globally distributed teams toward common objectives, develop pipeline, advance complex deals, and deliver against significant revenue targets.
  • Exceptional executive relationship-building skills, with experience establishing credibility and trusted partnerships with C-level executives and senior business stakeholders.
  • Strong consultative selling capabilities, including active listening, insightful questioning, needs discovery, industry analysis, and the ability to position solutions as strategic business investments.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop sophisticated long-term account strategies while maintaining disciplined short- and medium-term execution plans.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to secure internal buy-in, coordinate resources, and align multiple teams around shared commercial outcomes.
  • Excellent forecasting, pipeline management, and commercial planning capabilities, with a data-driven approach to managing sales performance.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts and value propositions clearly to audiences at all organizational levels.
  • Strong strategic thinking, curiosity, creativity, and adaptability, with the ability to quickly understand new industries, customer needs, and market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to build rapport quickly, maintain long-term relationships, and operate with an energetic, positive, and customer-focused approach.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to meet clients and support strategic account development.
  • Annual base compensation range of $257,000–$353,000 USD.
  • Competitive benefits program designed to support employees across their professional and personal needs.
  • Generous commission plan with uncapped earning potential.
  • Equity compensation providing an opportunity to participate in the organization’s long-term growth.
  • Opportunity to lead a global strategic sales organization focused on some of the largest clients in the financial-services market.
  • Significant exposure to C-level executives, strategic customers, and cross-functional business leaders.
  • Opportunity to influence commercial strategy and contribute directly to growth in a high-growth, technology-driven environment.
  • U.S.-based opportunity with regular client travel.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
