The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager based in South Africa.

This is a senior marketing leadership opportunity focused on driving learner enrollment and sustainable growth in the Egyptian market. You’ll own the full applicant funnel, from initial awareness through conversion and enrollment, with direct accountability for measurable acquisition results. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on campaign execution across digital, content, social, community, and partnership channels. You’ll shape a trusted brand for young Egyptian audiences while adapting broader marketing strategies to local market needs and behaviors. You’ll also lead a marketing team and coordinate agencies, contractors, and cross-functional partners to deliver against ambitious goals. Working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, you’ll have significant ownership and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on access to technology education and career opportunities.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute the market marketing strategy and enrollment plans for each program intake, defining objectives, target audiences, channel mix, budgets, timelines, and performance goals.
  • Localize broader marketing strategies to reflect the needs, behaviors, culture, and preferences of young audiences in Egypt while maintaining strong collaboration with global marketing stakeholders.
  • Own the complete applicant funnel from lead generation through enrollment, identifying opportunities to improve conversion rates, acquisition efficiency, and overall growth.
  • Plan, launch, optimize, and measure multi-channel growth campaigns, remaining hands-on with execution while scaling successful initiatives through agencies, freelancers, and contractors.
  • Expand digital reach through content, social media, video, influencer activity, learner-generated content, alumni stories, and other creative growth initiatives.
  • Build and strengthen a trusted local brand, setting creative direction across visual identity, messaging, content, and customer touchpoints while maintaining alignment with broader brand standards.
  • Develop offline and community marketing initiatives, including campus activations, community events, partner events, and other experiences designed to generate awareness, engagement, and qualified leads.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with universities, youth networks, influencers, corporations, and other stakeholders that can strengthen brand visibility and generate new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with corporate training teams to support B2B brand building and demand generation through targeted campaigns, content, partnerships, and events.
  • Own the marketing technology ecosystem, including CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and advertising platforms, ensuring data is captured accurately and used effectively.
  • Monitor marketing performance, acquisition costs, conversion rates, and other key metrics to identify scalable channels and make informed investment decisions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the marketing team while coordinating external agencies, freelancers, and contractors to ensure execution against agreed priorities and targets.
  • Communicate progress, insights, challenges, and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders, maintaining strong accountability for enrollment and growth outcomes.
  • 6–8+ years of B2C marketing experience, or equivalent expertise, with a demonstrated history of owning growth targets and delivering measurable results.
  • Proven experience as a hands-on marketing operator who can independently plan and execute digital campaigns while also effectively managing agencies, contractors, and external partners.
  • Experience working in a startup, entrepreneurial, or similarly fast-paced environment, with a demonstrated ability to be proactive, resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable operating with ambiguity.
  • Strong knowledge of performance marketing, marketing technology, analytics, and data-driven decision-making, with confidence working with budgets, metrics, and commercial trade-offs.
  • Experience building brands and directing creative work, including briefing designers, copywriters, video teams, and other creative contributors.
  • Deep understanding of the 18–30 demographic in Egypt, including youth culture, social media behavior, digital content, influencers, and online amplification.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in both English and Arabic, including confidence delivering events and engaging audiences in Arabic.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a marketing team and/or managing agencies, contractors, and freelancers toward measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong ownership mindset, with the willingness to take direct responsibility for results and execute personally when required.
  • Courage to challenge assumptions and the status quo, combined with humility, openness to feedback, and a willingness to learn.
  • Resilience and persistence when navigating setbacks, changing priorities, and ambitious growth targets.
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving ability, with a bias toward action and practical solutions.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to understand budgets, evaluate trade-offs, and make decisions based on evidence and performance.
  • Experience planning and delivering branding, community, or experiential events is advantageous.
  • Background in education, training, recruitment marketing, or a leading FMCG organization is a plus.
  • Experience with B2B or corporate marketing is desirable.
  • Experience developing and managing strategic partnerships is beneficial.
  • Full-time hybrid role with a collaborative working environment.
  • Opportunity to take significant ownership of marketing strategy, acquisition, brand building, and enrollment growth.
  • Work on initiatives that expand access to technology education and support career development for young people.
  • Exposure to an international organization and collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders across different markets.
  • Opportunity to lead and develop a marketing team while working with agencies, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
  • A fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that encourages initiative, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Opportunities for professional development, capability building, and relevant certifications.
  • Meaningful opportunities to work across digital marketing, community engagement, partnerships, B2C growth, and corporate marketing.
  • Flexible collaboration supported by digital communication and video-conferencing tools for distributed teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
