The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Builder based in the United States.

As a Senior Product Builder, you will bridge product strategy and technical execution by rapidly designing, prototyping, and validating innovative payment solutions across mobile, desktop, and hardware platforms. You will transform merchant feedback and emerging market opportunities into functional proof-of-concept features, accelerating product development and reducing the time between ideas and implementation. Combining strong technical expertise with AI-powered development tools, you will build practical solutions that address real-world business needs. Working closely with merchants, sales partners, and engineering teams, you will define technical specifications and measurable evaluation criteria to ensure successful product delivery. You will also monitor industry trends and competitor innovations to identify opportunities for differentiation in the evolving payments landscape. This remote opportunity is ideal for a hands-on, technically minded product professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and values experimentation, user empathy, and tangible results.

Accountabilities

  • Define, design, and build end-to-end proof-of-concept features, interactive prototypes, and technical sandboxes for desktop applications, iOS and Android devices, payment terminals, and hardware kiosks.
  • Translate product concepts into detailed technical specifications, wireframes, schemas, and implementation-ready documentation, including employee permission rules, table mapping models, and product modifier customizations.
  • Establish clear product evaluation criteria and success metrics before feature development, enabling systematic testing, validation, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct direct user discovery with merchants and sales partners to understand operational challenges, identify unmet needs, and rapidly translate feedback into functional solutions.
  • Accelerate product discovery and prototyping by leveraging large language model (LLM) APIs, prompt engineering, AI coding agents, and other modern development tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure prototypes and technical specifications can be implemented efficiently, minimizing communication gaps and reducing development delays.
  • Monitor competitor product launches, point-of-sale innovations, and emerging payment technology trends to identify opportunities for new features and product enhancements.
  • Explore and validate capabilities such as drive-through modes, dark mode interfaces, item grids, group ordering, barcode scanning, and hardware customizations.
  • Build and test solutions across mobile, web, and payment hardware environments, ensuring that concepts are technically feasible and aligned with merchant requirements.
  • Work within Agile development environments to prioritize opportunities, manage product workflows, and accelerate delivery through iterative experimentation.
  • Maintain a strong focus on practical outcomes, continuously testing assumptions and delivering working prototypes rather than relying solely on presentations or theoretical product concepts.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in product management, product engineering, product analysis, or comparable technical product roles.
  • One to two years of experience working with AI tools, with practical knowledge of how to integrate them into product discovery, development, and prototyping workflows.
  • Strong technical fundamentals, including proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, and REST APIs or web APIs.
  • Hands-on experience developing native or cross-platform applications for iOS and Android.
  • Familiarity with payment hardware ecosystems, including card readers, point-of-sale terminals, and self-service kiosks.
  • Strong working knowledge of LLM APIs, prompt engineering, AI-assisted coding agents, and AI-driven development workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with Agile software development teams and translating product requirements into actionable technical deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Jira and modern product management tools for planning, prioritization, documentation, and delivery tracking.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate technical feasibility, validate hypotheses, and make informed product decisions.
  • Strong user empathy and discovery skills, with the ability to engage merchants and sales partners, understand their needs, and translate insights into practical solutions.
  • A proactive, builder-first mindset, with a strong bias toward experimentation, rapid execution, and demonstrable results.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, particularly when working across product, engineering, and commercial teams.
  • Product Owner certification, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), is preferred.
  • Previous experience in payments, financial technology (fintech), or point-of-sale solutions is highly desirable.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, as sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Competitive compensation: Annual salary range of $104,000–$149,000, depending on work location, relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
  • Medical coverage: Comprehensive medical insurance.
  • Dental and vision: Dental and vision insurance coverage.
  • Flexible paid time off: Flexible PTO to support personal needs and work-life balance.
  • Retirement savings: 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions.
  • Mental health and well-being: Access to mental health support and a dedicated well-being program.
  • Paid parental leave: Paid maternity and paternity leave.
  • Education assistance: Support for continuing education and professional development.
  • Lifestyle spending account: Company-funded allowance for eligible lifestyle and personal well-being expenses.
  • Remote work: A remote working arrangement for eligible candidates based in the United States.
  • Inclusive work environment: An opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of innovators and contribute to the development of modern payment technology.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
