The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager, User Acquisition based in Canada.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new product area focused on helping mobile app developers acquire the right users and accelerate sustainable growth. As the first dedicated product leader in user acquisition, you will define the strategy, explore emerging opportunities, and turn early hypotheses into impactful products. You will leverage deep expertise in mobile performance marketing, attribution, and subscription monetization to identify unmet customer needs and develop differentiated solutions. Working closely with engineering, design, data, and go-to-market teams, you will lead product discovery and experimentation in a highly autonomous, remote-first environment. The role offers significant ownership, from validating initial concepts to launching scalable solutions with measurable business impact. You will help connect advertising performance with downstream monetization insights to redefine how developers optimize acquisition investments.

Accountabilities

  • Define the user acquisition strategy: Establish a product vision and strategic direction for user acquisition, identifying opportunities where existing data, integrations, advertising capabilities, and developer relationships can create differentiated value.
  • Lead zero-to-one product development: Take ownership of the entire product lifecycle, from customer discovery and opportunity assessment to hypothesis development, prioritization, experimentation, launch, and continuous improvement.
  • Understand customer needs: Engage directly with mobile app developers and acquisition teams to understand their workflows, challenges, measurement practices, advertising strategies, and investment decisions.
  • Evaluate market opportunities: Assess the mobile advertising ecosystem, attribution infrastructure, performance marketing trends, and competitive landscape to identify high-impact product opportunities.
  • Develop product hypotheses: Translate customer insights and market research into focused product bets, prioritizing opportunities based on potential impact, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
  • Drive experimentation and validation: Use prototypes, design partnerships, technical discovery, and lightweight experiments to validate assumptions, reduce uncertainty, and determine when to scale, refine, or discontinue initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technical teams: Partner with engineering, design, data, and other product teams to define requirements and deliver solutions involving APIs, SDKs, integrations, identity, data flows, attribution, and advertising infrastructure.
  • Connect acquisition with monetization: Explore ways to use subscription revenue and downstream monetization data to improve acquisition measurement, campaign optimization, customer lifetime value, and return on advertising spend.
  • Build alignment across stakeholders: Communicate product recommendations, strategic trade-offs, learning priorities, and investment decisions clearly to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Establish a long-term roadmap: Turn early market signals and validated product opportunities into a focused roadmap, defining the capabilities needed to build a sustainable and differentiated user acquisition offering.
  • Measure product impact: Evaluate experiments and launches against meaningful customer and business outcomes, using evidence to guide prioritization and continuously refine the product strategy.
  • Become the internal domain expert: Build and share deep knowledge of mobile user acquisition, attribution, advertising measurement, and developer growth to inform broader product and business decisions.
  • Product management experience: At least five years of experience owning significant product or growth decisions end-to-end. Relevant backgrounds may include product management, founding a company, growth leadership, or other roles involving accountability for product outcomes.
  • Hands-on mobile user acquisition expertise: Extensive practical experience managing and optimizing mobile app acquisition campaigns or building products and infrastructure used by mobile acquisition teams.
  • Mobile advertising ecosystem knowledge: Strong understanding of mobile acquisition channels and tools, including mobile measurement partners (MMPs), attribution solutions, Apple Ads, Meta and Google advertising platforms, conversion APIs, and related measurement infrastructure.
  • Performance marketing expertise: Ability to reason about customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), return on ad spend (ROAS), campaign optimization signals, attribution models, and performance marketing economics.
  • Privacy and measurement knowledge: Familiarity with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT), SKAdNetwork and AdAttributionKit, consent management, privacy-related measurement limitations, and the impact of downstream user behavior on acquisition decisions.
  • Zero-to-one product leadership: Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, identify important unanswered questions, develop product hypotheses, prioritize opportunities, and validate concepts before committing significant resources.
  • Technical fluency: Sufficient technical understanding to collaborate effectively with engineers on APIs, SDKs, integrations, data pipelines, identity resolution, attribution systems, and other technical product decisions.
  • Customer discovery and market analysis: Ability to conduct customer interviews, analyze market dynamics, identify underserved needs, and translate research into actionable product strategies.
  • Analytical and evidence-based decision-making: Strong judgment in evaluating experiments, interpreting product and marketing data, assessing risks, and adjusting direction based on measurable evidence.
  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and strategic concepts clearly to different audiences.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Ability to build productive relationships across engineering, design, analytics, go-to-market, and leadership teams in a distributed environment.
  • Ownership and adaptability: A proactive, autonomous approach to work, with the willingness to challenge assumptions, make informed trade-offs, and take responsibility for product outcomes.
  • Competitive compensation: Compensation package valued at approximately USD 230,000, with equity offered. The precise base salary and compensation structure should be confirmed during recruitment.
  • Equity participation: Opportunity to receive equity in a fast-growing, Series C company backed by established investors, including Y Combinator.
  • Extended equity exercise window: Ten years to exercise vested stock options.
  • Fully remote work: A remote-first environment designed to support autonomy, flexibility, and collaboration across geographic regions.
  • Flexible time off: Approximately four to five weeks of flexible annual time off.
  • Coworking support: Paid access to a coworking space.
  • Workspace budget: Financial support for setting up and maintaining an effective working environment.
  • Continuous learning: A dedicated learning stipend to support professional development and skill growth.
  • High ownership and impact: The opportunity to establish a new product area, influence company strategy, and shape the future of mobile app growth.
  • International collaboration: Work with distributed teams and mobile app developers across multiple markets and regions.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
