The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Service Representative (New or Recent Graduate) based in Canada.

This is an excellent opportunity for a new or recent graduate to build a career in financial services and investment operations. You will support day-to-day investment operations while delivering accurate, timely, and reliable service to internal and external stakeholders. The role combines transaction processing, data analysis, issue resolution, reporting, and stakeholder support in a regulated environment. You will gain exposure to investment products, operational controls, regulatory requirements, and business processes. The position offers opportunities to contribute to process improvements, system changes, training tools, and operational initiatives. Success requires strong organization, attention to detail, collaboration, and a customer-focused mindset. You will work in a structured yet evolving environment where sound judgment and continuous learning are highly valued.

Accountabilities

  • Process service requests, transactions, inquiries, and operational activities accurately and within established service-level agreements.
  • Collect, organize, validate, and reconcile information and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Provide accurate, consistent, and well-informed responses to internal and external stakeholder questions and requests.
  • Analyze operational data and information to identify trends, provide insights, and recommend improvements.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve issues promptly, escalating complex matters when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Maintain an understanding of applicable regulatory requirements, operational risks, products, services, processes, and controls.
  • Support change initiatives, including the implementation of new processes and systems and enhancements to existing processes.
  • Contribute to the development of operational tools, training materials, and initiatives designed to improve business outcomes.
  • Serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues when required and help manage escalated requests.
  • Complete a diverse range of moderately complex tasks while operating within established policies, procedures, controls, and risk-management frameworks.
  • Apply sound judgment when assessing risks, determining appropriate next steps, protecting organizational assets, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
  • Approximately 2–3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally combined with a post-secondary education in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good knowledge of relevant technology systems and tools, with the ability to learn and apply new systems effectively.
  • Good understanding of business-unit products, services, processes, operational controls, risks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong customer-service skills and a demonstrated ability to understand and respond effectively to stakeholder needs.
  • Good proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to investigate issues and determine appropriate next steps.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with the ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, consistency, and operational quality.
  • Ability to work independently while following established procedures, controls, service standards, and risk-management practices.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and develop specialized knowledge in investment operations and financial services.
  • Competitive annual base salary of $40,500–$80,000, with actual compensation depending on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
  • Potential eligibility for performance-based or discretionary bonuses and other rewards, depending on the compensation structure.
  • Health insurance and other health-related benefits.
  • Accident and life insurance coverage.
  • Retirement savings programs.
  • Tuition reimbursement opportunities.
  • Full-time employment in a remote work environment.
  • Opportunities for professional development through training, coaching, leadership support, and networking.
  • An inclusive, equitable, and accessible workplace committed to supporting diverse perspectives and providing accommodations throughout the hiring process.
  • Opportunities to develop expertise in investment operations, financial products, regulatory requirements, and operational processes.
  • Exposure to process improvement, technology implementation, and broader business initiatives.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
