This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer Full Stack based in Brazil.

This is a senior engineering opportunity for an experienced full-stack developer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and delivering products at scale. You’ll work across frontend and backend systems, with a strong focus on scalable, distributed, cloud-based architecture. The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, mentoring, and close collaboration with Product, Support, business stakeholders, and other engineering teams. You’ll design and launch new features, improve existing products, and use metrics and customer feedback to guide technical decisions. You’ll also help shape engineering practices, unblock teammates, and contribute to projects from concept through production. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and highly focused on ownership, quality, innovation, and measurable results.

Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality full-stack software applications and product features.
  • Build and maintain frontend experiences using React and modern TypeScript practices.
  • Develop and integrate REST APIs using Java, Python, or similar backend technologies.
  • Contribute to distributed, cloud-based architectures designed for scalability, reliability, and consistency.
  • Apply appropriate architectural patterns and technologies such as transactional outboxes, message queues, RabbitMQ, SQS, and Kafka.
  • Collaborate with Product, Support, business stakeholders, and other engineering teams to translate business and customer needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Help define technical approaches, introduce new ideas, and build consensus around implementation strategies.
  • Develop and monitor product and engineering metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Deliver production-ready features that meet quality, testing, observability, and reporting standards.
  • Contribute to automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing practices.
  • Lead small development teams or project workstreams when needed, coordinating delivery from technical planning through launch.
  • Mentor and support other engineers, helping strengthen technical knowledge, engineering practices, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Use customer and stakeholder feedback to prioritize improvements and iterate on products after launch.
  • Contribute to DevOps, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and production monitoring practices where appropriate.
  • Instrument applications and services for reliable production monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting.
  • Help maintain and evolve scalable microservice architectures deployed in cloud environments.
  • Promote high engineering standards, proactively identifying defects and ensuring problems are addressed at their root.
  • 10+ years of full-stack software engineering experience, with substantial experience designing and delivering production software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Strong experience building and serving REST APIs using Java, Python, or a comparable programming language.
  • Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript or similar modern frontend technologies.
  • Strong understanding of distributed and cloud-based architectures and the ability to design solutions that scale effectively.
  • Experience with distributed systems patterns such as transactional outboxes and/or messaging and queuing technologies such as RabbitMQ, SQS, or Kafka.
  • Experience with SQL-based relational databases and ORM technologies.
  • Familiarity with observability and production monitoring platforms such as Prometheus, New Relic, Datadog, or comparable tools.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with containerized microservices and Kubernetes, ideally within AWS environments.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering commercial APIs and web applications to production.
  • Strong track record of taking products or features from concept through launch and subsequent improvement.
  • Ability to prioritize technical solutions based on customer, stakeholder, and business feedback.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to introduce new ideas, influence technical direction, and build consensus among stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Demonstrated mentoring skills and willingness to elevate the capabilities of other engineers.
  • High standards for code quality, reliability, testing, and maintainability.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where calculated decisions and action are valued.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, resilience, and commitment to delivering measurable results.
  • Professional English communication skills.
  • Languages: Golang, TypeScript, Python.
  • Frontend: TypeScript, React, React Native.
  • Backend: Golang.
  • Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Version control: Git.
  • CI/CD: GitLab.
  • Testing: Developer-driven automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Strong preference for open-source technologies and building internal solutions where practical.
  • Compensation: $5,000–$10,000 USD gross per month, depending on experience and seniority.
  • Employment type: Full-time.
  • Work arrangement: Fully remote.
  • Location: Remote opportunity for eligible professionals across Latin America, including Brazil.
