The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Architect, InsuranceSuite Practice based in Brazil.

Join a global technology environment helping property and casualty (P&C) insurers modernize their core systems, accelerate digital transformation, and deliver better customer experiences. As a Software Architect, you will provide technical leadership for complex Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementations across Latin America, guiding projects from initial architecture through deployment and stabilization. You will translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions spanning application configuration, integrations, data architecture, and cloud operations. Working closely with customers, implementation partners, and cross-functional engineering teams, you will establish technical standards, mitigate delivery risks, and improve implementation efficiency. You will also contribute to reusable frameworks, cloud adoption, and AI-enabled engineering practices while mentoring technical professionals across the regional ecosystem. This remote opportunity offers significant technical ownership, international collaboration, and the chance to influence enterprise insurance technology solutions at scale.

Accountabilities:

  • Solution Architecture and Technical Leadership: Lead end-to-end technical architecture for complex Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementations across Latin America, covering PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter from initial design through go-live and post-launch stabilization.
  • Business Requirements and Solution Design: Translate customer business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions encompassing application configuration, integrations, data migration considerations, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Architecture Governance: Own critical technical decisions involving data models, integration patterns, application extensibility, performance, scalability, resilience, and security, ensuring alignment with established architectural standards and best practices.
  • Technical Design Reviews: Review and validate technical designs, configuration strategies, integration specifications, and implementation approaches developed by project teams and delivery partners to ensure consistency, quality, and long-term maintainability.
  • Hands-On Technical Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve complex issues across application, integration, and data layers. Conduct design and code reviews while providing technical guidance to consultants and engineering teams.
  • Reusable Frameworks and Best Practices: Develop and promote reusable implementation patterns, accelerators, frameworks, and technical assets that reduce delivery effort, improve implementation quality, and accelerate time to value across regional projects.
  • Cloud Architecture and Delivery: Align implementation architectures with cloud platform capabilities, supporting cloud adoption, deployment strategies, operational readiness, and reliable production environments.
  • Performance and Non-Functional Requirements: Identify and manage technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle, addressing performance optimization, scalability, system resilience, security, and operational reliability.
  • Product and Engineering Collaboration: Work with Product, Research and Development, and Cloud teams to share customer feedback, influence product roadmaps, and align implementation solutions with evolving platform capabilities.
  • Project Estimation and Planning: Contribute to proposals and delivery planning by assessing technical scope, resource requirements, implementation effort, dependencies, risks, and architectural constraints.
  • Customer and Partner Advisory: Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer stakeholders and implementation partners, leading architecture workshops, explaining design trade-offs, and documenting technical decisions and their rationale.
  • Mentoring and Knowledge Sharing: Coach architects and consultants, strengthen technical capabilities across distributed teams, and promote consistent architecture and engineering standards throughout the regional practice.
  • AI-Enabled Engineering: Explore and apply AI-assisted development, knowledge tools, and automation to improve architectural analysis, software development, and troubleshooting efficiency.
  • Delivery Excellence: Help improve implementation quality, reduce delivery risks, and accelerate cloud adoption across strategic insurance transformation programs in Latin America.
  • Professional Experience: At least 10 years of experience in enterprise software implementation or architecture, including involvement in large-scale transformation initiatives or complex core system programs.
  • Guidewire InsuranceSuite Experience: Hands-on implementation experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite, particularly PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter. At least two years of experience is advantageous, while four or more years is preferred, including configuration and integration work.
  • Technical Architecture Expertise: Demonstrated ability to design end-to-end enterprise architectures covering application configuration, integrations, data migration considerations, and non-functional requirements.
  • Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language, such as Gosu or Java, or a comparable language used in enterprise software development.
  • Integration Technologies: Solid understanding of REST and SOAP APIs, messaging patterns, batch processing, and enterprise system integration.
  • Cloud Platform Experience: Experience working with cloud environments, preferably Guidewire Cloud Platform, AWS, or Microsoft Azure, including deployment processes, environment management, and operational considerations.
  • P&C Insurance Knowledge: Strong understanding of property and casualty insurance processes, including policy administration, billing, and claims management, and how these processes map to InsuranceSuite capabilities.
  • Technical Leadership: Proven ability to lead architectural decisions, review implementation approaches, resolve complex technical challenges, and guide multidisciplinary delivery teams.
  • Consulting and Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead technical workshops, explain complex concepts and trade-offs to non-technical audiences, and document architectural decisions clearly.
  • Agile Delivery Experience: Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery environments, particularly with distributed teams and multiple implementation partners.
  • English Proficiency: Advanced written and spoken English, enabling effective collaboration with global stakeholders and participation in international technical discussions.
  • Regional Language Skills: Professional proficiency in Portuguese and Spanish, in addition to English, to support customers and teams across Latin America.
  • Location and Availability: Based in Brazil, comfortable working remotely while aligning with Latin American customer time zones, and available for occasional travel to customer sites or internal workshops.
  • Preferred Architecture Experience: Previous experience as a Software Architect on multi-year, multi-vendor core system implementations or large enterprise transformation programs.
  • Preferred Certifications: Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Integration, or Cloud certifications, and relevant cloud certifications such as AWS or Azure.
  • Preferred Performance Engineering: Experience optimizing InsuranceSuite performance through profiling, query optimization, batch processing improvements, and environment sizing.
  • Preferred Framework Development: Experience designing or building reusable accelerators, frameworks, or tools that improve Guidewire implementation efficiency.
  • Preferred Mentoring Experience: Experience coaching architects and consultants, providing constructive feedback, and improving technical design quality across delivery teams.
  • Preferred AI and Automation Skills: Familiarity with AI-assisted development, knowledge management tools, or automation techniques that accelerate architecture, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • AI and Data-Driven Mindset: Willingness to embrace AI and data-driven insights to improve software design, engineering decisions, and technical problem-solving.
  • Remote Work Flexibility: Work remotely from Brazil while collaborating with customers, partners, and colleagues across Latin America and other international locations.
  • Strategic Technical Ownership: Lead architecture for complex enterprise implementations and influence critical design decisions across major insurance transformation programs.
  • Professional Development: Strengthen your expertise in enterprise architecture, insurance technology, cloud platforms, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Career Growth Opportunities: Expand your technical leadership and consulting experience while contributing to the development of a regional architecture practice.
  • Global Collaboration: Work alongside international customers, implementation partners, product specialists, and engineering teams.
  • Innovative Technology Environment: Gain exposure to cloud-based insurance platforms, digital transformation initiatives, analytics, and AI-enabled engineering practices.
  • Technical Influence: Help shape reusable architecture patterns, implementation standards, and best practices that improve delivery quality across multiple projects.
  • Meaningful Business Impact: Support insurers in modernizing core systems, improving operational efficiency, and delivering better experiences to policyholders.
  • Inclusive Work Culture: Join a professional environment that values integrity, collaboration, diverse perspectives, and continuous innovation.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
