We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to support and lead key aspects of global financial consolidation within a complex, multinational environment. In this role, you will take ownership of critical monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities while ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. You will apply your expertise in U.S. GAAP, consolidation systems, and financial analysis to resolve complex accounting issues and strengthen reporting processes. Working closely with finance teams, management, and external auditors, you will help maintain strong internal controls and support regulatory reporting requirements. You will also contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and the modernization of financial reporting workflows. This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented, proactive professional to influence financial reporting quality, mentor colleagues, and drive operational excellence.

Accountabilities

  • Manage global consolidation activities: Independently execute key monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation processes, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, cumulative translation adjustment (CTA) analysis, equity roll-forwards, top-side journal entries, and complex consolidation adjustments.
  • Review accounting deliverables: Review journal entries, account analyses, consolidation reports, supporting documentation, and team work products to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Coordinate the financial close: Monitor consolidation close calendars, manage dependencies across teams, establish deadlines and deliverables, identify potential delays, and escalate risks to keep reporting milestones on track.
  • Analyze consolidated financial results: Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, including cash flow statements, investigate variances and unusual trends, and communicate findings and recommended actions to management.
  • Maintain consolidation systems: Support the administration and validation of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) structures and processes, including entity hierarchies, ownership structures, chart-of-accounts mappings, currency translation settings, consolidation rules, journals, and reporting outputs.
  • Support regulatory and external reporting: Help ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC requirements, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls. Prepare and review supporting schedules and financial statement footnotes for Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, earnings materials, and management reporting.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and auditors: Collaborate with the Consolidations Senior Manager, other departments, senior management, and external auditors to provide financial information, resolve technical issues, and support reporting requirements.
  • Manage financial data integration: Support the movement of financial data from ERP systems into HFM and enterprise performance management applications, including import, validation, export, and loading processes.
  • Oversee mappings and reconciliations: Review chart-of-accounts mapping changes, assess their impact on financial reporting, reconcile ERP balances to HFM results, and investigate data integrity issues.
  • Support reporting tools and analysis: Develop and maintain Smart View reports, perform ad hoc data extraction and analysis, investigate out-of-balance intercompany accounts, and troubleshoot foreign currency translation discrepancies.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline consolidation procedures, strengthen reporting quality, improve controls, and leverage automation and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Mentor junior team members: Provide guidance and constructive feedback to colleagues, reinforce high-quality work practices, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the consolidation team.
  • At least 6 years of experience in accounting or a related financial field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in financial consolidation processes and U.S. GAAP.
  • Hands-on experience with financial reporting software, including Hyperion and HFM; expert-level HFM knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience with Workiva and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of intercompany eliminations, foreign currency transactions and translation, top-side journal entries, and other complex consolidation activities.
  • Familiarity with financial data integration, ERP-to-HFM reconciliations, chart-of-accounts mapping, and financial reporting controls.
  • Ability to review complex accounting work, investigate discrepancies, evaluate financial results, and resolve issues independently.
  • Strong financial analysis, documentation, business writing, and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines during close periods.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs, think creatively, and identify practical solutions that improve processes.
  • A collaborative approach to working across finance teams, management, and external auditors, combined with strong accountability and initiative.
  • A combination of public accounting and industry experience is valued.
  • Experience in a multinational, publicly traded organization or global finance environment is preferred.
  • Work authorization: This position is not eligible for U.S. visa sponsorship.
  • Remote work: Fully remote position within the United States.
  • Full-time employment: Ownership of significant financial reporting and consolidation activities across monthly, quarterly, and year-end close cycles.
  • Professional development: Leadership coaching and development opportunities to support career progression.
  • Process improvement opportunities: Ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help modernize financial reporting through automation and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Meaningful ownership: Opportunity to influence consolidation processes, strengthen reporting quality, and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborative environment: Work with finance professionals and cross-functional stakeholders in a setting that encourages communication, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Inclusive workplace culture: An environment that values individual perspectives, supports professional growth, and encourages employees to contribute authentically.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
