The Senior Financial Analyst will support program leadership by providing comprehensive financial analysis, planning, and performance oversight to guide strategic and operational decisions. This role combines budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and long-range planning to help ensure programs meet financial objectives. Working closely with program managers, operations teams, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will translate complex financial data into actionable insights and recommendations. You will monitor financial performance, identify risks and trends, and help improve efficiency, cost control, and profitability. The position also contributes to financial reporting, compliance, and audit readiness. This is an opportunity to apply strong analytical expertise in a collaborative, results-oriented environment supporting complex programs.

Accountabilities

  • Conduct quantitative financial analyses related to budgets, expenses, investments, and other financial activities.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret financial information for assigned accounts, products, product lines, or business units to measure performance against established financial goals.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate current performance, forecast future results, and support informed business decisions.
  • Manage and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, earned value management, and long-range financial planning for assigned programs.
  • Analyze cash flow, expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and investments to identify trends, assess risks, and recommend appropriate financial actions.
  • Partner with program managers, operations teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to explain financial results and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Monitor program financial performance and communicate actual results, expected outcomes, and significant variances to relevant stakeholders.
  • Recommend improvements to financial procedures, planning practices, and internal controls.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Support financial compliance, audit preparation, and reporting requirements to help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
  • Exercise independent judgment when addressing complex financial challenges and provide guidance or support to colleagues with less experience.
  • Contribute to ongoing projects and financial initiatives, ensuring deliverables are accurate and completed within established deadlines.
  • Associate degree with five to seven years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, particularly in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Strong financial analysis and quantitative reasoning skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into practical recommendations.
  • Experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, expense analysis, and financial performance monitoring.
  • Ability to develop and interpret financial models to support business decisions and evaluate financial outcomes.
  • Understanding of cash flow, revenue, expenditures, depreciation, investments, and financial controls.
  • Strong analytical thinking and statistical skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial findings to stakeholders from different functional backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exercise sound judgment, and resolve complex problems.
  • Willingness to collaborate across teams and serve as a resource to colleagues when needed.
  • Ability to work for extended periods at a desk or computer in a primarily climate-controlled office environment.
  • Willingness to undertake limited travel, as the role requires little to no travel.
  • Salary: Annual pay range of $95,000–$120,000, with final compensation determined by factors such as work location, relevant experience, job-related skills, education, training, and internal equity.
  • Additional compensation: Potential eligibility to participate in a gain-sharing program.
  • Medical coverage: Medical insurance options.
  • Dental and vision: Dental and vision insurance.
  • Life and disability insurance: Basic life insurance and short- and long-term disability coverage.

  • Paid time off: 120 hours of annual PTO.
  • Paid holidays: Paid holidays in addition to annual PTO.
  • Family leave: Up to three weeks of paid family leave.
  • Additional voluntary benefits: Critical illness insurance, accident insurance, identity theft protection, enhanced legal services, and hospital indemnity insurance.
  • Education and well-being: Educational assistance and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services.
  • Work arrangement: The posting indicates a remote option, with potential work locations in Huntsville, Alabama; Niceville, Florida; and Hampton, Arkansas. The exact remote eligibility and onsite expectations should be confirmed during recruitment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
