The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Motion Designer based in Ireland.

This role sits within a high-ownership creative team shaping how a global technology brand moves across digital experiences and campaigns. You will create motion across product, web, social, events, and marketing while helping establish a distinctive visual motion language. The position combines hands-on craft with systems thinking, giving you the opportunity to make future motion work faster and more scalable. You will collaborate closely with brand designers, product teams, marketing, social, web, and external creative partners. A key part of the role is translating UI frames and creative briefs into polished stories, animations, and engaging product experiences. You will also explore emerging tools, including AI-powered workflows, to expand creative possibilities and enable others to produce high-quality motion independently. This is an ideal opportunity for a senior designer who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and brings both creative vision and strong execution.

Accountabilities

  • Design and produce high-quality motion work across product explainers, website animations, paid social content, keynote and event experiences, campaign assets, and other brand touchpoints.
  • Transform UI frames and product concepts into polished product demonstrations and feature explainers, ensuring that animation clearly communicates functionality, value, and user experience.
  • Develop straightforward storyboards independently when appropriate, enabling projects to move efficiently from concept to production without unnecessary handoffs.
  • Help define and evolve a distinctive motion design language by creating branded patterns, timing principles, transitions, and visual behaviors that establish consistency across digital surfaces.
  • Build reusable motion systems, including guidelines, component libraries, and mogrts files, enabling designers, social teams, and other partners to create high-quality work independently.
  • Explore and implement tools such as Jitter, Figma Motion, and emerging AI-powered video technologies to improve creative workflows and expand the team's capabilities.
  • Produce short-form video variations for paid social testing, adapting concepts across different formats, messages, and creative angles.
  • Develop recurring product video formats into scalable templates that can be reused efficiently across future product launches.
  • Collaborate closely with brand design, design operations, product marketing, product design, web, social, and external agencies to deliver cohesive creative work.
  • Bring motion expertise proactively into creative and stakeholder discussions, clearly explaining the strategic reasoning behind creative choices and helping partners understand the role of motion.
  • Contribute to a culture of experimentation and knowledge sharing by testing new creative technologies and sharing effective workflows and learnings with the wider team.
  • Significant professional experience in motion design, ideally within brand, product, digital, marketing, or technology-focused creative environments, with a portfolio demonstrating strong motion craft and storytelling.
  • Strong ability to transform brand briefs, UI frames, and product concepts into compelling visual stories that communicate clearly and engage audiences.
  • Deep understanding of motion principles, including timing, easing, rhythm, pacing, transitions, and visual personality, with the ability to create work that feels distinctive rather than generic.
  • Strong understanding of brand and UI design, with the ability to balance expressive creative direction with functional product communication.
  • Excellent storytelling and narrative instincts, including the ability to structure motion through setup, tension, resolution, pacing, and intentional moments of emphasis.
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset and experience creating reusable motion guidelines, component libraries, templates, or other tools that enable teams to work more efficiently and consistently.
  • Strong understanding of sound and rhythm, with the ability to intentionally integrate audio and motion to strengthen the overall creative experience.
  • Comfortable working directly from product UI and collaborating with product designers and other technical or creative stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to advocate for creative decisions, explain the reasoning behind them, and proactively influence projects.
  • Experience experimenting with AI-powered creative and video tools, with genuine curiosity about how emerging technology can improve creative workflows and production.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity, managing changing priorities, and taking initiative without requiring fully defined briefs or processes.
  • Highly collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and external creative partners.
  • Education is not required; practical experience, creative ability, and demonstrated expertise through your portfolio are valued.
  • Fully remote working environment within the eligible EMEA region.
  • Opportunity to work on high-visibility motion projects spanning product, brand, web, social, campaigns, and events.
  • High degree of ownership and autonomy within a small, collaborative creative team.
  • Opportunity to shape and establish a distinctive motion design system and influence how motion is produced across the broader organization.
  • Exposure to emerging AI and creative technologies as part of everyday design and production workflows.
  • Opportunities to build scalable systems, templates, and tooling that expand your impact beyond individual projects.
  • Inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives, empathy, and authentic contributions.
  • Strong focus on professional growth, experimentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous creative development.
  • Flexible remote culture designed to support collaboration across distributed teams.
  • Reasonable accommodations available throughout the recruitment and interview process for candidates who require them.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
