As a Senior Specialist, IT Tech Lead Planning, you will lead the technical ownership and ongoing optimization of enterprise supply chain planning applications, ensuring they meet business needs and operate reliably throughout their lifecycle. You will work closely with regional demand and supply planning teams to translate operational requirements into effective technical solutions using Kinaxis Rapid Response/Maestro. Your responsibilities will span application configuration, data modeling, system integrations, testing, validation, and production support. You will help improve planning accuracy, system performance, automation, and user experience while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and business standards. Collaborating with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors, you will drive enhancements and resolve complex technical issues. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to digital transformation initiatives while supporting critical supply chain operations in a collaborative, globally connected environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Application Ownership and Governance: Take technical ownership of global supply chain planning applications, ensuring stability, reliability, performance, and alignment with business requirements throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Supply Chain Planning Solutions: Support regional demand and supply planning teams, particularly in the US and Canada, in designing business processes that effectively leverage Kinaxis Rapid Response/Maestro capabilities.
  • Technical Solution Design: Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements, translate functional needs into technical specifications, and implement scalable, configurable solutions aligned with operational objectives.
  • Kinaxis Configuration and Development: Configure planning workbooks, worksheets, alerts, scenarios, scheduled tasks, scorecards, automation chains, and dashboards to support effective planning and decision-making.
  • Data Modeling and Integration: Maintain supply chain data models, including hierarchies, measures, attributes, calculations, table structures, and planning logic. Support integrations between Kinaxis and ERP platforms such as JD Edwards (JDE) and Oracle.
  • Workflow Automation and Optimization: Develop and maintain calculations, filters, queries, data transformations, and automated workflows to improve planning efficiency, system accuracy, and user experience.
  • System Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test scripts, user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios, and validation plans for new implementations, system enhancements, and configuration changes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure applications remain in a validated state throughout their lifecycle, maintain appropriate validation documentation, and support risk assessments, audits, and regulatory inspections in regulated and non-regulated environments.
  • Application Maintenance and Enhancements: Coordinate system upgrades, patches, maintenance activities, defect tracking, and technical enhancements in collaboration with internal IT teams, business process owners, and external vendors.
  • Incident Management and Troubleshooting: Investigate production issues involving data discrepancies, integration failures, calculation errors, performance degradation, and planning exceptions. Perform root cause analysis and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Cloud and Infrastructure Support: Support application deployment, configuration, and maintenance in cloud environments, including AWS and Azure, while addressing integration and infrastructure-related challenges.
  • Documentation and Change Management: Maintain accurate functional requirements, technical design specifications, validation records, change control documentation, and other system governance materials.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business users, IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to prioritize enhancements, manage changes, and ensure applications continue to meet operational needs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve system performance, planning accuracy, automation, and user adoption while contributing to broader digital transformation initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in supply chain planning applications, business systems analysis, enterprise applications, or related technology environments.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Kinaxis Rapid Response/Maestro, particularly its demand planning and supply planning modules.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Kinaxis configuration, including planning workbooks, worksheets, alerts, scenarios, dashboards, scorecards, scheduled tasks, and automation chains.
  • Solid understanding of Kinaxis data modeling concepts, including table structures, relationships, hierarchies, measures, attributes, calculations, and planning logic.
  • Experience developing or maintaining queries, filters, calculations, data transformations, and automated workflows within the Kinaxis environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP integrations, particularly systems such as JD Edwards (JDE) and Oracle, and an understanding of data exchange mechanisms and integration interfaces.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and application deployment, preferably with exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud-based environments.
  • Experience with system integrations, web services, APIs, and production application support, including the investigation of complex data and performance issues.
  • Ability to develop and execute test scripts, UAT scenarios, validation plans, and technical documentation to support controlled system changes.
  • Understanding of change management, system validation, risk assessment, and compliance requirements in regulated or non-regulated environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis, resolve technical issues, and recommend sustainable improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear information for business stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across business, IT, and vendor teams.
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple application support, maintenance, and enhancement activities.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies is an advantage.
  • Kinaxis certifications, particularly Author Level 1, Administrator Level 1, and Integration Level 1, are desirable.
  • Remote working: Opportunity to work remotely from India, providing flexibility in your work location.
  • Full-time employment: Join a global technology and business environment supporting essential supply chain planning operations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
