Accountabilities:

  • Install and configure Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Server 2022 and newer versions, with failover clustering.
  • Administer, maintain, and support SQL Server databases to ensure stability, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor database health, performance, uptime, and availability, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot database and application problems involving connectivity, access permissions, security, and related dependencies.
  • Analyze and optimize long-running SQL queries to improve database performance and responsiveness.
  • Implement and maintain SQL Server clustering, mirroring, and high-availability configurations.

  • Work with large SQL databases and apply database tuning techniques to improve performance and resource utilization.
  • Support cloud database technologies, including Azure, Snowflake, and/or Databricks.
  • Apply data modeling principles to support effective database design and management.
  • Work with Windows-based environments and relevant SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Analysis Services (SSAS), and Reporting Services (SSRS) technologies.
  • Communicate technical findings and solutions using standard requirements documentation, design artifacts, and other established documentation practices.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks; a relevant certification may substitute for this experience.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent skills, knowledge, and professional experience.
  • Experience working in a Windows environment.
  • Exposure to SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
  • Demonstrated experience tuning SQL Server databases and working with large database environments.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud and cloud-based database technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2019 or later, with expertise in SQL Server database administration.
  • Expertise in writing Transact-SQL (T-SQL).
  • Experience implementing and maintaining SQL clustering, database mirroring, and high-availability solutions.
  • Practical experience installing, upgrading, patching, and migrating SQL Server databases.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to investigate database performance and application connectivity issues.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to document technical requirements, designs, and solutions clearly.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Competitive compensation.
  • Opportunities to support enterprise technology environments and work with modern database and cloud technologies.
  • Potential for professional development and career growth through client engagements.
  • Specific salary ranges, paid time off, and additional benefits are not detailed in the provided job description.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
