The posting
We are obsessed with the hero's journey at JobNimbus. Every person has a hero's journey. Hermione Granger, James T. Kirk, Frodo Baggins, Anna & Elsa, Nacho Libre, and even YOU! This is our "call to adventure" to come check out JobNimbus. What do you have to lose? You might make a few new friends, learn about a new company doing some amazing things, and maybe you'll even land a new job!
Mission
Own and drive JobNimbus's field business development strategy across the Northeast. You'll build deep, trusted relationships with roofing manufacturer and distributor teams in markets from Washington, DC to Boston. You're accountable for turning those relationships into a steady, scalable flow of referrals that drives new customers and MRR growth. You'll make JobNimbus the platform partner teams trust and recommend to residential roofing contractors across the region.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own the Northeast territory, including the New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington DC/Baltimore, Hartford and Providence markets and everything in between. Be the face of JobNimbus to the partner teams in the region.
- Build and grow relationships at every level of our manufacturer and distributor partners. That includes manufacturer territory managers and contractor-program teams, branch managers, outside sales reps and regional leadership.
- Build and run a referral program with partner teams that consistently brings in qualified new business from residential roofing contractors, with a focus on growing companies with 5+ employees.
- Plan and run high-impact field engagement, including branch trainings, lunch-and-learns, contractor events, partner meetings and ride-alongs. Keep JobNimbus top of mind when partner reps are talking with their contractors.
- Build and carry out a territory plan. Rank markets, branches and partner teams by opportunity, and keep a regular rhythm of engagement across the region.
- Design and run a hybrid engagement model that pairs in-person time in the field (up to 50% travel) with virtual trainings, digital enablement and remote follow-up to get the most reach.
- Work closely with Sales and SDRs so every referral is followed up fast and handed off cleanly. Then close the loop with the partners who sent it, so they see results and keep referring.
- Track and report key performance metrics, including referral volume, referral-to-close conversion, new MRR sourced, pipeline and partner engagement activity.
- Bring market intel back from the field, such as contractor needs, competitive activity and trends in insurance and storm restoration work. Share it with Product, Marketing and leadership, and drive regional co-marketing with partners.
- Lay the foundation for the Northeast region. Document what works and help shape the partner BD playbook as JobNimbus scales this model to new markets.
What Makes You the Hero for This Job
- 5+ years of experience in business development, channel or partner sales, field sales, or territory management. Ideally that experience is in roofing, building materials, home improvement, or SaaS sold to contractors.
- Existing relationships with roofing manufacturer and/or distributor teams in the Northeast are a major plus.
- A proven track record of generating new business through referral and channel partners, measured by revenue rather than activity.
- A strong understanding of how residential roofing contractors run their businesses, including retail and insurance restoration work.
- Comfortable and compelling in front of a room. You can run a branch training, present to a group of contractors, or work a partner event with equal confidence.
- A self-directed, organized territory manager. You plan your own travel, prioritize ruthlessly, and deliver results with little oversight while working remotely.
- A data-driven mindset. You keep a clean CRM and you're comfortable tracking and reporting KPIs like new MRR, referral conversion and partner engagement.
- Highly collaborative. You know how to align Sales, SDRs, Marketing and Customer Success, and how to work through others to get things done.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to increase output, streamline workflows, and consistently outperform peers. You don't just use AI, you use it strategically to get more done and drive better results.
- Preferably based in Delaware or Maryland. Must be able to travel up to 50%, including overnight trips across the Northeast.
Superpowers
- Extreme Ownership. You own partner outcomes end-to-end—from strategy to execution to revenue impact. You don’t wait for direction or permission; you see gaps, create plans, and drive results.
- Customer Obsessed. You are relentlessly focused on delivering value for partners and contractors. Every program, event, or campaign should make partners say, “That was worth our time,” and make contractors want to use JobNimbus.
- Proactive Learning. You stay ahead of industry trends, partner dynamics, and competitive movements, continuously refining your approach to maximize channel impact.
- Team Commitment. You collaborate deeply across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success and Partnerships, aligning teams around shared goals and executing as one to drive growth.
