💷 £24,960 per annum

⏰ 30 hours per week | Monday–Friday

📋 Permanent | 52-week rolling contract

🏀 Sports background essential

🚗 Free on-site parking

🏀 Passionate about sport? Ready to take the next step in leadership?

Are you an experienced sports coach or sports professional who loves working with children and is ready to develop your career in management?

Junior Adventures Group (JAG) is looking for a confident, organised and enthusiastic Deputy Club Manager to join our team at Montpelier Primary School in Ealing.

Working closely with the Club Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of our busy club, helping to lead and support a large team while ensuring children enjoy a safe, active, engaging and positive experience every day.

This is more than just a coaching role. You’ll combine your passion for sport with genuine leadership responsibility, helping to organise the team, maintain high standards and step up to lead the setting when required.

With a permanent 30-hour-per-week, 52-week rolling contract, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for greater stability and the chance to build a long-term career in sports, childcare and management.

⭐ What You’ll Be Doing

As our Deputy Club Manager, you’ll work alongside the Club Manager to ensure the smooth and successful running of the setting.

You’ll:

  • Support the Club Manager with the day-to-day operation of the club
  • Help lead, motivate and support a large team of coaches and club staff
  • Organise activities and allocate coaches and team members effectively
  • Help plan and deliver a varied and engaging sports programme
  • Coach and support activities such as football, basketball, netball, dodgeball and multi-sports
  • Use your sports experience to help maintain a high standard of coaching and activity delivery
  • Support the development of coaches and other team members
  • Create a fun, active and inclusive environment where every child can participate
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, safety and safeguarding
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, school staff and colleagues
  • Support operational and administrative responsibilities
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety and company procedures are consistently followed
  • Take responsibility and make confident decisions when required
  • Step up and lead the club in the Club Manager’s absence

  • 🏫 PE or school sport
  • 🏆 Sports development
  • 🎯 Sports leadership
  • 🏋️ Leisure or recreation
  • 👥 Sports clubs or community sport
  • 📚 A sports-related degree or qualification combined with relevant practical experience

You’ll need to be confident leading or supporting the delivery of sports activities and comfortable helping other coaches and team members deliver engaging, high-quality sessions.

This requirement is essential for the role.

🎯 Comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions

👥 Able to lead, motivate and support a team

🏀 Confident delivering and overseeing a range of sports

🌈 Committed to creating an inclusive environment for every child

🛡️ Passionate about safeguarding and children’s wellbeing

Previous supervisory, team-leader or management experience would be a strong advantage.

You may currently be working as a Senior Sports Coach, Lead Coach, Sports Coordinator, PE Coach, Sports Development Officer, Activity Leader, Team Leader, Club Supervisor or similar and be ready to take the next step into a Deputy Manager position.

30 contracted hours per week, 52 weeks of the year.

During term time, you’ll support our school-based provision, including lunchtime and wraparound activities.

During the school holidays, you’ll have the opportunity to support and help lead our exciting Holiday Club provision, where children enjoy full days packed with sport, games, activities and creative experiences.

It means greater stability, guaranteed contracted hours and the opportunity to develop your leadership experience throughout the year. 🌟

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
