The Role

The Technical Consultant is a senior customer-facing delivery role within Keboola's Professional Services function. You will lead scoped, outcome-driven technical engagements that help customers accelerate adoption, solve complex data challenges, and get lasting value from the Keboola platform.

You operate as a technical partner to Customer Success Managers, activated by demand, engaged with clear scope and exit conditions, and always working toward a clean handover.. Alongside active delivery, you proactively identify new engagement opportunities in collaboration with the CS team, contributing to demand generation as a standing part of the role.

You will work closely with CSMs, Support, Engineering, and customer stakeholders across the full engagement lifecycle, from discovery and scoping through delivery and handover.

What You'll Do

  • Lead scoped technical engagements end-to-end: define scope and success criteria, deliver against them, and close with a documented outcome and clean handover.
  • Execute hands-on technical work including architecture guidance, implementation support, configuration, validation, and troubleshooting, stepping in directly when it meaningfully unblocks progress or reduces risk.
  • Manage engagement scope actively: size work before starting, identify scope creep early, and re-scope formally rather than absorbing additional work silently.
  • Deliver across both billable engagements (SOW-based) and value-adding work, meaning non-billed customer-facing activity that drives retention, adoption, or expansion.
  • Identify potential PS engagement opportunities through participation in the weekly CS leadership cadence and review of CS team account updates.
  • Collaborate with CSMs to surface technical need signals before a formal request is raised and propose engagement scope jointly.
  • Stay close to the CS team as a standing practice, not a secondary activity.
  • Embed with senior customer stakeholders to translate complex, ambiguous problems into clear, executable solution paths.
  • Shape architectural and technical decision-making through deep product and domain expertise.
  • Coordinate with Support, Engineering, and customer teams to drive momentum and remove blockers.
  • Lead stabilization during high-severity incidents and ensure clean handover to CSMs and customer teams at engagement close.
  • Lead technical discovery to understand customer architecture, constraints, and strategic direction.
  • Design end-to-end solutions covering patterns, sequencing, tradeoffs, and risk mitigation.
  • Know when to go deep personally and when to delegate, always optimizing for sustainable outcomes.
  • Contribute reusable patterns, playbooks, and internal knowledge to improve future delivery quality across the PS team.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing delivery role in Technical Consulting, Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, or similar, within B2B SaaS or data/tech companies.
  • Deep expertise in modern data platforms, architectures, and analytics ecosystems; comfortable working directly with pipelines, configurations, and system designs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and architectural judgment across complex, multi-system environments.
  • Proven ability to scope and deliver technical engagements independently, defining success criteria, managing to them, and closing with documented outcomes. Decisive in ambiguous, high-stakes situations and able to connect customer strategy to technical solutions.
  • Experienced at leading and coordinating across internal teams, customers, and partners without formal authority; takes full accountability for outcomes.
  • Clear communicator with both technical and business stakeholders, able to translate complexity into clear direction and action.
  • Fluent in Czech; English is a strong plus.
  • Based in Prague, able to work in a hybrid setup. We do not offer relocation or visa packages.
