We are looking for an experienced Technical Consultant with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory, and network security/firewalls to design, implement, support, and optimise cloud-based technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across Azure infrastructure, data integration, networking, security, and enterprise technology environments. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements, develop effective solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure cloud environments remain secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support scalable and secure solutions using Microsoft Azure.
  • Develop and maintain Azure cloud architectures aligned with enterprise security, performance, availability, and scalability requirements.
  • Design, configure, and manage Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for reliable data integration and movement.
  • Develop data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, and integration workflows using Azure Data Factory.
  • Configure and manage cloud networking components and secure connectivity between Azure and on-premises environments.
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot firewall and network security configurations across enterprise environments.
  • Work with network and security teams to define firewall rules, access controls, traffic flows, and connectivity requirements.
  • Troubleshoot complex Azure, networking, data integration, and connectivity issues and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Monitor Azure environments, identify performance or availability issues, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Support cloud migrations, application integrations, data-platform initiatives, and infrastructure modernisation projects.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into practical Azure-based solutions.
  • Prepare technical designs, architecture documentation, configuration documents, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Data Engineering, Application, DevOps, and other technology teams.
  • Support deployment, release, incident management, change management, and production operations.
  • Implement appropriate cloud security, access management, governance, and compliance practices.
  • Optimise Azure resources, data pipelines, network configurations, and cloud operations for reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and stakeholders and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Evaluate Azure services and emerging cloud technologies to identify opportunities for improving technology capabilities.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure solutions follow established architecture and security standards.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 6+ years of experience in technical consulting, cloud engineering, infrastructure, systems engineering, or a related technology role.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure and enterprise cloud environments.
  • Proven experience designing, developing, and managing Azure Data Factory pipelines and data integration workflows.
  • Strong understanding of Azure networking, connectivity, routing, private endpoints, virtual networks, and secure cloud architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, firewall policies, network security controls, and troubleshooting network connectivity.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, identity, access management, and enterprise security practices.
  • Experience integrating Azure environments with on-premises infrastructure and external systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with Azure monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimisation.
  • Ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into scalable and secure solutions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional infrastructure, security, data, application, and DevOps teams.
  • Strong understanding of IT service management, incident management, change management, and production support practices.
  • Excellent technical documentation, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of technical deliverables.
  • Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer, or equivalent certifications would be an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
