About the Job

As a Senior Software Architect, Security Platforms, you will provide architectural leadership across multiple Keeper engineering teams and product areas. You will work across frontend, backend, client, browser and security platforms to establish scalable technical patterns, resolve complex cross-product architectural challenges and guide teams through major design decisions.

This is not a purely advisory role. You will remain hands-on with architecture, prototyping, code reviews and technical problem solving while partnering with Engineering, Product and Security leadership to ensure Keeper’s systems remain secure, performant and maintainable as the platform grows. The ideal candidate has broad full-stack architecture experience, deep software engineering fundamentals and the ability to move comfortably across product domains, technologies and operating environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive architecture across multiple Keeper product areas, including PAM, Browser Extension and other core security platforms
  • Establish scalable architectural patterns and technical standards across frontend, backend, client and distributed systems
  • Lead architecture reviews and major technical design decisions for complex cross-product initiatives
  • Partner with Engineering leadership and product teams to translate business and product requirements into scalable technical designs
  • Evaluate trade-offs across centralized and distributed architectures, monoliths and microservices, synchronous and asynchronous systems and cloud-native deployment models
  • Design systems with strong consideration for security, reliability, performance, extensibility and maintainability
  • Guide architecture for APIs, services, authentication, authorization, data flows and integration patterns across product teams
  • Provide technical leadership for high-scale SaaS systems and security-sensitive workflows
  • Support architecture across browser-based, desktop, endpoint and platform components where applicable
  • Identify architectural risks, technical debt and scalability constraints and drive pragmatic remediation strategies
  • Build prototypes or reference implementations to validate architectural approaches and de-risk major initiatives
  • Review critical code and design changes and provide technical guidance to senior and staff-level engineers
  • Partner with Security teams on secure architecture, threat modeling and protection of sensitive data and credentials
  • Establish standards for observability, reliability, testing and operational readiness across distributed systems
  • Mentor senior engineers and influence technical direction across multiple engineering teams
  • Evaluate new technologies, frameworks and architectural approaches that can improve platform capabilities and developer productivity
  • Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot or similar platforms to accelerate technical research, prototyping, coding, debugging and documentation

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant software architecture or technical leadership responsibilities
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale production software across multiple product or platform areas
  • Strong full-stack technical background across frontend, backend, APIs and distributed systems
  • Experience designing highly available, scalable and secure SaaS architectures
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented and modular design principles and architectural trade-offs
  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture and cloud-native application design
  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, identity, access control and secure application architecture
  • Experience designing and integrating APIs, shared services and cross-product platform capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational database architecture, data modeling and performance considerations
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern deployment environments such as AWS, containers and Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of application performance, profiling, debugging and reliability engineering
  • Experience evaluating architectural trade-offs involving scalability, resiliency, maintainability and developer velocity
  • Proven ability to work across multiple engineering teams and influence technical decisions without direct authority
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to engineers, Product and leadership
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use modern AI-assisted development tools effectively for research, architecture, coding and technical analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience architecting browser extensions, desktop applications or client-side security platforms
  • Experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React
  • Experience with backend technologies such as Java, Kotlin, Rust, C++, Go or similar languages
  • Familiarity with browser security models, extension architecture, CORS and web application security
  • Experience with endpoint security, operating system integrations or native client development
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing and secure software supply chain practices
  • Experience with observability platforms, performance testing and production diagnostics
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards, analytics platforms or enterprise product requirements
  • Experience working across AI-enabled product initiatives, agentic systems or modern AI development workflows

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
