Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will support the accounting department with a variety of clerical and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth financial operations. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help maintain accurate financial records, assist with bookkeeping, and provide exceptional customer service to clients and internal teams alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your accounting expertise within a collaborative environment that values efficiency and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Manage data entry for invoices, payments, and expense reports using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Assist with bookkeeping duties, including reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Support office management tasks, including organizing files, maintaining spreadsheets, and overseeing general administrative functions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members via phone, email, and in-person interactions while practicing professional phone etiquette.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Strong computer literacy with experience in data entry, clerical tasks, and office management.
  • Previous office experience or administrative background is highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed.
  • Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone communication and phone etiquette.
  • Basic bookkeeping knowledge along with strong typing skills for accurate data entry.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain productivity software tools to meet deadlines.
