Lead Engineer

About NDBS

National Design Build Services (NDBS) is a mechanical design/build firm based in St. Louis, MO. We design and deliver HVAC, refrigeration and process systems for commercial, industrial and mission-critical facilities, including data centers, food processing, manufacturing and refrigerated warehouses. NDBS is part of the Kelso Industries family of MEP+ companies, which shares the core values of Partnership, Innovation, Excellence and Safety. We take projects from design through fabrication and field installation, using off-site prefabrication partners where it improves schedule, quality and job-site safety. NDBS offers an excellent benefits and compensation program and strong career development opportunities.

Position Description:

The Lead Engineer leads mechanical design for data centers, mission-critical facilities and large industrial plants delivered through design-build and design-assist. You will turn owner and process requirements into reliable HVAC, process and piping systems, carry them from concept through milestone reviews to issued-for-construction documents, and support construction through submittals, RFIs and commissioning. Where it adds value, you will work with fabrication partners to aide in the prefabrication of piping and equipment assemblies. You will work with preconstruction, general contractors, trade partners, sub-consultants and field operations, leading a team of engineers or working on your own, and you are responsible for delivering design assignments on time and on budget while meeting client contracts.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
