We Create Products and Brands That People Trust to Clean, Sanitize, and Protect Their Homes and Pools

When you join KIK Consumer Products, you’re joining a team that cares about the work we do and also about each other. We bring exceptional brands and products to consumers that help them protect the health and wellness of their families and the cleanliness of their homes and pools. We are committed to building a culture of performance driven by accountability, collaboration, and agility that enables timely fact-based decision-making and exceptional execution with unwavering ethics. As one of North America’s largest independent manufacturers of consumer products, KIK helps a large portfolio of brands and retailers bring their products to life.

Your Role at KIK

We are seeking a Forklift Operator on 1st shift at our Santa Fe Springs, CA facility with shift hours being Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm PST, with overtime, weekend, or extended shifts as business needs require. This person supports three production lines connected by conveyors – unloading trailers, supplying the lines, and staging inventory to warehouse standards – and works alongside the production operator to bring in materials, review quality documentation, and verify that quantities are scanned correctly against the work order. Reporting to the Team Leader, the Forklift Operator helps keep product flowing safely and accurately through the facility and is accountable for the quality of every unit placed into a customer's shipper.

The pay for this role is $22.28 per hour. This position is a union position with Teamsters Local 986.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Safely operate forklift and material handling equipment.
  • Supply production lines and stage inventory according to warehouse standards.
  • Bring in materials, review quality documentation, and verify that production quantities are scanned correctly against the work order, correcting discrepancies before the end of the shift.
  • Perform inventory functions including but not exclusive to cycle counts, physical inventory, and product checks.
  • Load and receive materials from trailers.
  • Load, store, and move materials in and out of racking.
  • Perform the loading documentation process in accordance with Hazmat rules.
  • Operate and use the plant's warehouse management system/RFID.
  • Perform packing/quality checks and documentation as required.
  • Hand stack palletized product and perform rework during production downtime as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
  • Be responsible for the final quality of every unit that is placed into a customer's shipper. If unsure of the quality standard required, check with the Team Leader before packing questionable product.
  • Be responsible for safety and housekeeping in the immediate work area. Help to clean and report any unsafe conditions to your Team Leader or Supervisor.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, and follow all plant policies and procedures.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • 2 or more years of forklift experience required; (5 or more years preferred)
  • Experience on any forklift type (sit-down, stand-up, or reach); cross-training on other equipment types provided on the job
  • RF scanner experience preferred
  • Must be able to safely operate the forklift around co-workers, other forklifts, and mechanical and electrical equipment for up to 12 hours
  • Able to visually concentrate, remain alert, and listen intensely for extended periods of time
  • Able to stand, sit, lift, bend, crouch, reach and climb consistently for twelve hours
  • Able to grasp and manipulate a variety of packaging components (i.e. sprayers, bottles, caps)
  • Must be able to lift 45 lbs. from floor to shoulder level
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to work in accordance with Health and Safety and GMP regulations
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, or extended shifts where necessary
  • Possibility of working around unpleasant odors
  • Working in a non-temperature-controlled environment, including high temperatures and humidity for extended periods of time
  • Possibility of working around high noise levels, depending on location
  • Constant interaction with a variety of chemicals and chemical products

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
