KPMG Corporate Finance Inc. is the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC)-regulated entity through which KPMG LLP provides investment banking services in Canada. KPMG Corporate Finance services are principally comprised of merger, acquisition and divestiture services and financing services, including raising debt and equity capital. We offer independent financial advisory and investment banking services to both private and public companies.

Our growing diversified investment banking team is seeking Analysts to join our team in Calgary, Edmonton or Winnipeg to play a key role across all aspects of transaction delivery.
What you will do
- Assist with preparation of transaction documentation such as pitch books, teasers and confidential information memorandums.
- Prepare integrated financial models to support key transaction decisions.
- Assist in identification of potential acquisition targets, purchasers and/or investors.
- Communicate directly with a variety of parties including clients, other advisors and transaction counterparties.
- Assist with proactive business development and deal initiation activities.
- Provide analytical and market research information (i.e. public company pricing multiples, industry research, etc.).
This role provides significant learning opportunities and increasing responsibility over time. At times, business needs arise, and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal workday or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, employees need time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.
What you bring to the role
- Committed to achieving a professional designation (CPA, CBV and or CFA designation).
- Post-secondary degree with 1+ years of relevant experience in corporate finance, investment banking, corporate development, consulting, transaction advisory, or public accounting.
- Proven track record of project execution in a similar fast-paced professional setting.
- Strong technical finance proficiency, including knowledge of financial statements and general accounting principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Ability to execute complex deliverables on a timely basis while managing competing priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Collaborative team player that can work independently with minimal supervision.
