KPMG's Banking & Capital Markets Management Consulting practice helps banks, credit unions, payment providers and fintechs design and implement business and technology change. We work across commercial and retail banking, payments and digital banking operations, from strategy and target-state design through requirements, process redesign, integration, testing, implementation, operational readiness and adoption.

As a Senior Consultant, you will help financial institutions redesign banking processes and implement the systems that enable them. You will work at the intersection of banking operations and technology, owning analysis and delivery across core banking, lending/credit, deposits, digital channels, onboarding, servicing or adjacent banking capabilities

What you will do

  • Own business and functional analysis for banking transformation and system implementation workstreams.
  • Assess current-state processes, operating models and technology landscapes and design target-state processes, roles, controls and system interactions.
  • Elicit and document business, functional, data, integration and non-functional requirements; develop user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria and traceability.
  • Translate banking needs into system specifications and work with product, architecture, engineering, data, vendors and QA teams to validate solution design.
  • Support platform implementation activities such as configuration decisions, interface design, data mapping, migration, testing, defect resolution, cutover and operational readiness.
  • Facilitate workshops and manage day-to-day client stakeholders across business, operations and technology.
  • Identify dependencies, gaps, risks and decisions across integrated banking processes and drive them to resolution.
  • Contribute to proposals, practice content and the coaching of junior team members.

What you bring to the role

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in banking technology, financial services, consulting, systems integration or digital transformation.
  • Experience delivering technology-enabled change for a bank, credit union, financial institution or financial-services client.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of at least one banking domain such as commercial banking, retail banking, lending/credit, deposits, onboarding, servicing, digital banking, payments or treasury/cash management.
  • Hands-on experience across the solution lifecycle, including requirements, functional design, integration, testing, migration and implementation.
  • Ability to understand banking systems, data flows and interfaces and to translate between business and technology stakeholders.
  • Strong business analysis, process design, problem-solving and documentation skills.
  • Ability to own a workstream, manage priorities and deliver high-quality client outputs with limited supervision.
  • Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and written/verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with platforms such as nCino, Loan IQ, AFS, ACBS, Oracle FLEXCUBE, Temenos, Finastra, FIS, Fiserv, Salesforce,
  • ServiceNow or comparable banking solutions.
  • Knowledge of APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, data architecture, cybersecurity, identity/access management or technology-risk remediation.
  • Experience with digital banking, workflow/case management, open banking, customer onboarding or banking integration patterns.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, ServiceNow or similar tools.
  • Progress toward a business-analysis, project-management, agile, architecture, data or cloud certification; French-English bilingual capability is an asset for client delivery in Quebec.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
