Overview

At KPMG in Canada, our people bring their unique perspectives to Canada’s most important challenges. Here, you can build momentum that reaches beyond our business, develop skills for the future, and take ownership of your career with support at every stage. Join a firm where your career can make a difference.

Are you a talented leader who knows how to motivate your team and deliver exceptional client service?

We are seeking a Senior Manager to join our Supply Chain Transformation team to lead transformation and advisory programs aimed at redesigning supply chain planning processes, operating models, and technology capabilities. The selected candidate will primarily support clients in the life sciences, consumer products, wholesale, and food and beverage sectors.

This client-facing role requires extensive experience in process reengineering, target operating model design, and the implementation of advanced planning solutions such as SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), BY (Blue Yonder), o9 Solutions, Relex, Kinaxis, and other advanced planning solutions.

Knowledge of automation, analytics, and basic artificial intelligence principles would be a significant asset.

What you will do

As part of the Supply Chain Transformation team, you will be called upon to:

  • Lead projects and programs addressing complex workstreams related to supply chain planning transformation, from initial diagnostic, potentially through deployment and stabilization of new capabilities.
  • Advise senior client executives on planning challenges, transformation priorities, governance models, and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Lead end-to-end reengineering of supply chain planning processes, including demand, supply, inventory, replenishment, production, distribution, scheduling, and the S&OP process.
  • Assess current processes, technologies, data, organizational structures, and governance models to identify gaps, constraints, and root causes of performance issues.
  • Design integrated, harmonized, and scalable target processes, taking into account the operational and regulatory specificities of the life sciences, consumer products, wholesale, and food and beverage sectors.
  • Define target operating models that include processes, governance, organizations, performance indicators, technology, etc.
  • Facilitate design workshops with multidisciplinary teams to achieve alignment on guiding principles, target processes, design decisions, and implementation priorities.
  • Develop pragmatic transformation roadmaps integrating process, organization, technology, data, governance, and change management dimensions.
  • Lead/supervise the selection, design, and implementation of planning solutions such as SAP IBP, BY, o9 Solutions, Relex, Kinaxis, or other comparable platforms.
  • Translate business objectives and operational needs into functional requirements, use cases, design principles, and sustainable technology solutions.
  • Oversee functional design, configuration, integration, data migration, testing, training, deployment, and post-go-live support activities.
  • Ensure that technology solutions genuinely support target processes and operating model objectives rather than simply replicating existing ways of working.
  • Lead the definition of key planning parameters, including product and customer segments, inventory policies, service levels, planning horizons, replenishment rules, and production strategies.
  • Ensure project governance, manage risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, and timelines, and present structured updates to steering committees.
  • Lead and coach multidisciplinary teams composed of consultants, functional specialists, technology specialists, and client representatives.
  • Develop team members through regular coaching, constructive feedback, and the creation of learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to business development, including identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, developing service offerings, and maintaining lasting client relationships.
  • Participate in the development of methodologies, transformation frameworks, accelerators, and leading practices in supply chain planning.

What you bring to the role

  • At least 12 years of relevant professional experience, with a significant portion in management consulting and supply chain transformation.
  • Demonstrated experience within a leading consulting firm, delivering complex engagements for large organizations.
  • Significant experience leading supply chain transformation programs with a substantial process reengineering component.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing target operating models, including processes, governance, organization, roles, capabilities, data, and technology.
  • Deep expertise across several areas of supply chain planning: demand, supply, inventory, replenishment, production, scheduling, or S&OP/Integrated Business Planning, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major planning platform such as SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, o9 Solutions, Relex, Kinaxis, or another comparable platform.
  • Strong understanding of the complete solution implementation lifecycle, including design, configuration, integrations, data, testing, training, deployment, and adoption.
  • Experience in at least one of the following sectors: life sciences, consumer products, retail, wholesale, food and beverage.
  • Understanding of challenges specific to these sectors, including demand volatility, product launches, shelf life, seasonality, promotions, capacity constraints, traceability, service levels, and the management of complex and detailed inventory distribution networks.
  • Ability to translate complex business challenges into clear recommendations, tangible target processes, and scalable technology solutions.
  • Experience managing teams, budgets, timelines, risks, and relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, workshop facilitation, presentation, and executive-level deliverable writing skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to structure analyses, and synthesize complex information.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong sense of accountability, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, client-focused environment.
  • University degree in operations management, supply chain, industrial engineering, information technology, business administration, mathematics, or a related field.
  • A relevant certification such as APICS/ASCM, PMP, SAP IBP, or a certification associated with another planning solution is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence principles and their use in innovative supply chain solutions.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
