Position Summary The Inventory Control & Storeroom Specialist primarily manages maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) spare parts, tools, and operating supplies supporting plant maintenance and equipment reliability in a copper powder manufacturing facility. This role maintains accurate inventory and an organized, well-stocked storeroom and coordinates with Maintenance, Purchasing, and Production to ensure materials are available for planned work and equipment repairs. Record receipts, issues, returns, and transfers accurately and promptly, assigning materials to the appropriate equipment, work order, or cost center. Perform cycle counts, support physical inventories and audits, investigate discrepancies, and implement practical corrections. Partner with Maintenance and Purchasing to maintain critical spare parts and recommend minimum and maximum stock levels and reorder points based on usage, equipment criticality, lead times, and operational needs. Initiate replenishment requests based on approved stocking levels and coordinate with Purchasing to prevent stockouts. Monitor open orders and backorders and communicate shortages and parts availability to Maintenance, Purchasing, Production, vendors, and contractors. Research replacement parts using equipment manuals, drawings, manufacturer information, model and serial numbers, and maintenance records. Obtain appropriate approval before substituting parts. Support Maintenance and Purchasing in standardizing commonly used parts, reducing duplicate, excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory, and coordinating approved disposition of unusable materials. Track components sent to outside vendors for repair and ensure repaired or replacement items are returned to inventory. Stage and kit materials for preventive maintenance, planned work orders, shutdowns, repairs, and capital projects. Maintain organized, labeled storage locations and appropriate storage conditions for electrical components, motors, bearings, belts, instrumentation, lubricants, and other MRO materials; maintain accountability for tools and designated assets. Monitor shelf life and rotate applicable materials to prevent the use of expired or deteriorated supplies. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material-handling equipment only when trained and authorized. Follow site safety, environmental, material-handling, and housekeeping requirements; keep aisles, shelving, and emergency access points orderly and accessible. Support continuous improvement and perform other duties as assigned.

Forklift or powered industrial truck experience preferred; site-required certification must be obtained. Demonstrates the ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance in accordance with established work schedules.

Skills and Competencies

Strong organization, recordkeeping, data-entry, and inventory-control skills, with attention to accuracy when counting, receiving, issuing, and labeling materials. Working knowledge of industrial maintenance components, including bearings, belts, motors, gearboxes, fasteners, electrical components, instrumentation, valves, and fittings, preferred. Ability to interpret purchase orders, packing slips, equipment information, and inventory records; research parts using manufacturer, model, serial, and part numbers; and resolve inventory discrepancies. Ability to prioritize planned work, urgent breakdown requests, receiving activities, and recurring inventory tasks. Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to work independently while coordinating with Maintenance, Purchasing, Production, vendors, and contractors. Commitment to safety, inventory accuracy, equipment reliability, customer service, and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements

Frequently stand and walk for extended periods in the storeroom, warehouse, and manufacturing facility. Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and climb ladders or step stools to access storage locations at varying heights. Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds; move heavier materials using appropriate material-handling equipment and approved lifting practices. Use computers, barcode scanners, hand tools, carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other storeroom equipment. Wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety footwear.

Work Environment This position works primarily in a maintenance storeroom and industrial manufacturing facility supporting copper powder production, with regular access to maintenance, warehouse, receiving, and production areas. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
