The posting

LA28 does not provide relocation assistance for any positions.

If you are based outside the Los Angeles area, we still welcome your application — we value talent from all geographic backgrounds and want to hear from you if you are able to work on-site in LA.

Role Purpose

You will stand up and lead the warehouse and distribution operation that supplies every venue of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As Head of Warehouse and Distribution, you build a new sub-stream from the ground up, set LA28's warehouse and distribution strategy, and lead the warehouse team across competition and non-competition sites. You keep operations efficient, safe, and compliant with quality standards, and oversee the ramp-up and deployment of the logistics service provider's fleet as the Games approach and venue demand peaks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stand up the Warehouse and Distribution sub-stream to address emerging priorities and drive strategic logistics initiatives.
  • Develop and execute the LA28 warehouse and distribution strategy in line with organizational objectives and Games timelines.
  • Lead and manage the LA28 warehouse team, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and support to warehouse and distribution staff across competition and non-competition sites.
  • Oversee the ramp-up and deployment of the logistics service provider's fleet to meet venue delivery requirements.
  • Lead the management and performance of the logistics service provider responsible for delivering end-to-end warehouse and distribution operations.

Required Competencies

  • Minimum 8 years of executive warehouse management experience, including managing a facility of similar size, volume, and complexity.
  • Previous international Games experience in warehouse and distribution operations, from early planning through Games-time delivery.
  • Proven leadership of large warehouse and distribution teams across multiple sites, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Experience developing and executing warehouse and distribution strategy and managing third-party logistics service providers and their fleets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, using it for warehouse planning, inventory reporting, and team communication.

Valued Experience

  • Spanish language skills.
  • Experience managing Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment for major events.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement across a logistics, warehouse, or planning function.
  • Experience setting up new warehouse operations or teams from the ground up.

What We Offer

  • The chance to build a Games warehouse and distribution operation from the ground up.
  • Leadership of a growing team across competition and non-competition sites.
  • A high-trust logistics function that values judgment, safety, and pragmatic delivery.
  • A central role in equipping the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

What This Role Means for the Games

Every venue depends on the right equipment arriving at the right place and time. The warehouse and distribution operation you build keeps the Olympic and Paralympic Games supplied, safe, and ready to run every single day.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.
  • The majority of work will be conducted in a warehouse setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
  • The LA28 Main Distribution Centers will be a mix of warehouse space, individual offices, and an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
  • Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.
  • Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
  • Ability to move freely across multiple warehouse locations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
