Key Responsibilities

  • Market Leadership: Oversee daily clinical research operations across the Richmond market, ensuring efficient study execution, strong performance, and high-quality patient care.
  • Team Management & Development: Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate Clinical Research Coordinators, ensuring staff are well-prepared and supported in their roles.
  • Hands-On Study Support: Serve as a resource for CRCs and step in to coordinate clinical trials, manage participant visits, and support study activities when needed.
  • Physician & Sponsor Relationships: Develop strong working relationships with Principal Investigators, medical practice leadership, sponsors, and CRO leadership.
  • Study Oversight: Manage clinical trials from start-up through closeout, ensuring adherence to protocols, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Recruitment & Enrollment: Develop and implement strategies to achieve participant recruitment and retention goals.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, ICH guidelines, and company policies.
  • Operational Planning: Collaborate with organizational leadership to evaluate new studies, staffing needs, resource allocation, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of clinical research experience required, including substantial hands-on experience coordinating clinical trials.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience, or demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Strong understanding of clinical research operations, regulatory requirements, GCP, and FDA guidelines.
  • Experience working with Principal Investigators, sponsors, CROs, and clinical research staff.
  • Ability to train and support CRCs and independently coordinate studies when needed.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable leader who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • College degree in a healthcare, science, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with endocrinology or pediatric clinical trials is a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
