Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer (Civil) to ensure that all construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes. The candidate will be responsible for implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections and tests, maintaining quality documentation, and coordinating with project teams, consultants, and clients to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plan.
  • Inspect civil construction activities, including concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works.
  • Ensure all construction activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable IS codes.
  • Conduct inspections at various stages of construction and coordinate with clients and consultants for inspection approvals.
  • Verify the quality of construction materials and ensure testing is conducted as per project requirements.
  • Coordinate concrete sampling, slump tests, cube tests, soil tests, and other required quality tests.
  • Prepare and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, inspection requests, test reports, and quality records.
  • Identify non-conformities, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure proper implementation of quality procedures at the project site.
  • Review material approvals, technical submittals, and test certificates.
  • Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with project quality standards.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, consultants, and client representatives on quality-related matters.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
  • Maintain proper documentation for client inspections, audits, and project handover.
  • Identify recurring quality issues and recommend corrective measures to minimize rework and material wastage.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, testing procedures, and quality control practices.
  • Good understanding of IS codes, project specifications, approved drawings, and method statements.
  • Experience in preparing ITPs, inspection checklists, NCRs, and quality reports.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and preparation of quality documentation.
  • Ability to work independently at project sites and meet project quality requirements.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or building construction projects.
  • Experience handling client and consultant inspections.
  • Knowledge of concrete technology, construction material testing, and quality auditing.
  • Experience in projects involving strict quality compliance and documentation requirements.

  • Timely completion of inspections and quality documentation.
  • Reduction in construction defects, rework, and material wastage.
