The posting

Role : Visual Merchandising Executive

Location : Thailand

Market focus : 80% Thailand / 20% Southeast Asia

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on and creative Visual Merchandising Executive based in Thailand to support the execution and development of visual merchandising across our retail network.

The role will primarily focus on Thailand (approximately 80%), supporting day-to-day store requirements, campaign rollouts, new store openings, VM maintenance and operational needs. The remaining 20% will support Southeast Asia regional initiatives, including the ideation, development and creation of VM concepts for key launches, campaigns and retail activations.

The ideal candidate combines creative thinking with practical execution skills and is comfortable working closely with stores, vendors and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Thailand Market Store and VM Execution 80%

  • Manage and support day-to-day visual merchandising requirements across Thailand stores.
  • Plan and execute VM rollouts for campaigns, product launches, seasonal activations and promotional initiatives.
  • Ensure stores maintain consistent visual standards in accordance with regional VM guidelines.
  • Conduct regular store visits and VM audits, identifying opportunities to improve product presentation, the customer journey and the overall store experience.
  • Adapt regional VM guidelines and concepts to individual store formats, layouts and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate implementation of window displays, lightboxes, graphics, POSM, product displays and other VM elements.
  • Manage VM changeovers and ensure campaign materials are installed accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Support maintenance, replacement and replenishment of VM materials, props and displays.
  • Work closely with Store Operations and retail teams to troubleshoot VM issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Develop clear VM guidelines, planograms and installation instructions for stores.
  • Support new store openings, renovations, relocations, pop-ups and special retail activations.
  • Coordinate on-site installations and provide hands-on support where required.
  • Work with local production vendors on quotations, sampling, production, delivery and installation.
  • Monitor project timelines, production quality and budgets to ensure projects meet requirements.
  • Prepare technical drawings, measurements and production documentation where required.

Southeast Asia Launch Ideation and Creative Development 20%

  • Support the regional VM team in developing concepts for key Southeast Asia campaigns, product launches and seasonal activations.
  • Participate in creative ideation and development of new display concepts, fixtures, props and in-store experiences.
  • Translate campaign creative direction and brand storytelling into practical retail executions.
  • Develop VM presentations, moodboards, mock-ups and visual proposals for regional launches.
  • Support the development of set designs for product launches, pop-ups, retail activations and special projects.
  • Explore new materials, display techniques and retail trends that can enhance the in-store customer experience.
  • Work with regional teams to ensure VM concepts can be adapted and executed across different SEA markets and store formats.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Retail Operations, Merchandising and Commercial teams to align campaigns and store executions.
  • Work with regional and local teams to maintain consistent brand presentation across physical retail stores.
  • Partner with production vendors and suppliers on fabrication, printing, installation and replenishment of VM elements.
  • Communicate clearly with store teams so VM guidelines and campaign requirements are understood and correctly implemented.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, installation progress, challenges and required follow-up actions.
  • 2–3 years of experience in visual merchandising, retail design, spatial design, graphic design or a related field.
  • Strong visual sense and a good understanding of styling, composition, space, colour and brand storytelling.
  • Hands-on and comfortable working across creative development and physical store execution.
  • Able to translate creative concepts into practical, scalable and executable VM solutions.
  • Good understanding of retail environments and customer journeys.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on execution quality.
  • Comfortable working with vendors, production partners and store teams.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating with regional and cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable supporting different store formats and adapting concepts to space and operational requirements.
  • Willing to travel within Thailand.
  • Willing to support installations, store openings and campaign changeovers outside regular working hours when necessary.
  • Fluent in spoken and written Thai and English; both languages are required for this role.

Preferred Software and Tools

  • Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
  • PowerPoint or Keynote, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with SketchUp, AutoCAD or other 3D or spatial design software is an advantage.

What We Are Looking For

Someone who is creative but practical, enjoys being in stores and understands that strong visual merchandising also depends on effective execution on the ground. The role suits someone who enjoys store execution, project coordination, vendor management and creative development, while gaining exposure to both Thailand and broader Southeast Asia retail initiatives.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
